80# shouldn't be that bad. I still pull a 65# recurve pretty easy, and my Mathews tops at 74#, which is a breeze to draw. Just looking for some more speed.

Well ... if you don't want to go with a 30 MOA Base, you might have to look at the Burris Signature Rings that have offset inserts. You could get another 10 MOA out of that. I don't know that the standard Viper has great adjustability to begin with. I know the PST and Viper HS LR have 75MOA, but I don't think the standard one is really meant to have as much adjustability. On my longest range rig I went with a 20 MOA rail and a Scope with 100MOA total adjustment.

I guess I'm nuts ... I'm trying for one of everything.

Just ordered my Knightmare. 80#'er. Hoping it is as fast and smooth as they say it will be.

I have personally seen a buck that went 190"+ in there while scouting for another hunt. Wide and tall with trash. I also know of a guy that took a measured 186" buck out of there 3 years back ... shot with a rifle on the first rifle hunt not long after another buddy missed shots at the same buck twice with a bow. Great unit. Might archery hunt it this year if I don't head to 6A.

Looks like my Oldest Son (13) and my Dad (or Youngest Son depending on my Dad's foot) will be hunting 3A/3C at the end of October and beginning of November. I have seen a lot of good photos of bucks in the last few years, and we saw quite a few healthy gents while on our elk hunt last year. Hope that we can find a couple of nice ones. One thing is for sure ... during scouting this year I'll be bringing a bunch of yard bags and some trash poles ... we picked up so much trash on those roads in 3C last year it was ridiculous.

That is a great round. I have a .30-06 Winchester Classic waiting for that treatment. Did you have to true the action and bolt, or was it pretty spot on to start with. Guy here at a very reputable shot told me Winchesters are generally VERY true and usually need only a little work for more complete lug contact.

Snap ... your comment on racial tensions and Obama feeding them is right on. Racism in this country is moving back up the scale rapidly. This time, the target is the white (or in this case part-white) male. The only way that racism in this country will ebb is if the race-baiting stops. Civil Rights violation charges against Zimmerman are no doubt being cooked up now. A Civil Suit will certainly be filed by the Thug's "parents" ... what a grand job they did in raising him. And then there is the price that will be put on his head by the New Black Panthers. If they put a price out on him and the DOJ doesn't bring them all in on charges, Holder ought to be put in a cell immediately. Kills me when everyone says that Zimmerman did something wrong. He was allowed to be in his own neighborhood. Following someone who is suspicious isn't smart, but isn't illegal. What IS illegal is that kid assaulting him because he didn't like being followed. Truth is, I have gone out in my neighborhood looking for people when a bike was stolen from my neighbor's garage. It was me, along with another guy who found the kid ... who was Hispanic. If he'd have took a swing at me, I would have defended myself too. Likely, in the current climate, I would have been the one charged, though I would have been justified. As it was, the kid made the mistake of getting in my neighbor's grill when confronted about the theft ... kid didn't realize my neighbor is a Maricopa County Sherriff's Deputy. As soon as the kid put his index finger on the neighbor's shirt, down he went ... perfect finger grap into an armbar ... cuffs came out and went on. Rights read. It was perfect.

TO top that off, she has said that the highlight of her career as DHS Secretary was throwing out the first pitch at a Yankees game. Amazing priorities! No one in that Administration has any kind of priorities.
