Yes! And while we are it...who is the most ethical and why? What is the best rifle? What's wrong with Obama? And last but not least....what do and don't you like about game and fish? Please be creative hahaha The most ethical is the person who does it right when no one else is around. The best rifle is the one that does it's job when I do mine. Obama is the worst President in my lifetime, and perhaps all time. Fish and Game ... well ... they try hard I guess ... but it sure seems like the numbers of animals have dropped over the years.

You can do both ... reticles are probably quicker, but turrets will get you out farther. Having both is a bonus.

Sounds like this deer was well know for being hand fed, petted, etc. I'd say that is "tame", as it has lost its fear of humans. Again ... whether this guy knew it or not is another question.

Some day, I will buy a Winchester 1895 converted to .35 Whelen or .338-06. That will be my "go to" hunting in the junipers rifle.

Not sure people here are jealous ... but I think a lot are concerned about the circumstances. Bonecollector ... if your buddy shot a big coues he should put it on here. I'd guess there aren't any dubious circumstances on his hunt, and I love to see big deer taken and hear the story. Legal or not legal ... that is one question, and one that needs an answer. Ethical or not ethical ... I guess everyone will have a slightly different opinion on that. Me ... I'm not shooting a tame deer, whether it is on legal dirt or not. Of course, that is assuming that I know it is a tame deer ... and there are some people making assumptions that this guy knew I. I'm not saying he did or didn't, but maybe someone should ask ... When I hunt myself, I have some self imposed rules. I'm not shooting a spike, or a two point, or even a little 3x3. That is just me ... I'll let them grow into something I'm proud to show/post. I hunted 15 or more years before I got my first deer. It wasn't because I didn't see deer I could shoot, and it wasn't because I didn't have skill to take/make a shot. I passed up many, many deer over the years until I saw one that I could ethically take that met my requirements for a "mature buck". Go ahead ... take a pot shot and call me an idiot. I don't care. You are entitled to your opinion. I don't impose my rules on others ... just on myself. Now for my boys, who are young ... I'd let them take something smaller ... but not too much smaller.

Like the man said....nasty roads. Good camping spots are few along the road south out of Fredonia, so get up there early...otherwise you are camping on rocks. Watch the Private land up there....get a BLM map if you don't have one. Bring good glass. If you don't have it, rent it at Ross...it'll help a lot.

That much is a fact ... only takes a quick look at our Nation's politics to know that is the case. I am sure AZGFD will investigate the circumstances ... and they should. But I won't judge the guy based on what I think ... someone has to do some fact finding.

Well ... my take is that if the man shot it on the correct side of the fence, he didn't do anything illegal, and should not be hounded. Sounds like he's trying to get going with guiding, and he'd probably not do anything to jeopardize that ... so what the heck ... if he did it legally then "Congrats" and be done with it. As to the ethics of hunting a tame animal ... its a tricky question. Guess if it was an animal that regularly ate from people's hands and was regularly petted by people, that wouldn't make it much of a challenge would it??? I hunt because I like the challenge, so that really wouldn't be for me. Still ... someone tell me when that load of apples and Snickers is getting dumped up there ... I'M HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much as I hate to side with Vlad ... I think the Syrian Taliban gassed the rebels to bait the US and our DUMBDONKEY REGIMN to come in and destroy the Syrian Government so they can take over. Obama is jumping right in with both feet because he wants that to happen as well (and probably knows the Taliban did it). The evidence is overwhelming that he favors Brotherhood Control in that region. Egypt, Libya, and now Slyria. There is a design and a plan ... and it is insidious. Obama and other high ranking members of the government DO NOT LIKE ISRAEL. In my opinion, they are setting the table for a major war in that region, and the goal is to give Israel back to Islam. You don't have to be a genius to see it. Why else would Obama give the Brotherhood in Egypt a Billion Dollars, a bunch of jets, and a bunch of tanks (though we halted that transfer when the Brotherhood guy was ousted ... if he'd still been there we would have handed over the means to major war with Israel ... believe it). Like I said in another post ... when you smell crap, you can bet there is a pile of it nearby ... and I smell crap. Here's to hoping there are enough people with brains in the House to tell Obama to shove his Syrian War right up his skinny rearend!!!!!!
