That is a great round. I have a .30-06 Winchester Classic waiting for that treatment. Did you have to true the action and bolt, or was it pretty spot on to start with. Guy here at a very reputable shot told me Winchesters are generally VERY true and usually need only a little work for more complete lug contact.

Snap ... your comment on racial tensions and Obama feeding them is right on. Racism in this country is moving back up the scale rapidly. This time, the target is the white (or in this case part-white) male. The only way that racism in this country will ebb is if the race-baiting stops. Unfortunately, two of the biggest race baiters (Obama and Holder) have huge platforms, and Jackson and Sharpton can get just about as much TV airtime with the Liberal Media as they want. Civil Rights violation charges against Zimmerman are no doubt being cooked up now. A Civil Suit will certainly be filed by the Thug's "parents" ... what a grand job they did in raising him. And then there is the price that will be put on his head by the New Black Panthers. If they put a price out on him and the DOJ doesn't bring them all in on charges, Holder ought to be put in a cell immediately. Kills me when everyone says that Zimmerman did something wrong. He was allowed to be in his own neighborhood. Following someone who is suspicious isn't smart, but isn't illegal. What IS illegal is that kid assaulting him because he didn't like being followed. Truth is, I have gone out in my neighborhood looking for people when a bike was stolen from my neighbor's garage. It was me, along with another guy who found the kid ... who was Hispanic. If he'd have took a swing at me, I would have defended myself too. Likely, in the current climate, I would have been the one charged, though I would have been justified. As it was, the kid made the mistake of getting in my neighbor's grill when confronted about the theft ... kid didn't realize my neighbor is a Maricopa County Sherriff's Deputy. As soon as the kid put his index finger on the neighbor's shirt, down he went ... perfect finger grap into an armbar ... cuffs came out and went on. Rights read. It was perfect.

TO top that off, she has said that the highlight of her career as DHS Secretary was throwing out the first pitch at a Yankees game. Amazing priorities! No one in that Administration has any kind of priorities.

7-08 is a great round for Arizona, despite what some people will say. Ballistics are pretty darn good, and it keeps good retained energy because it uses a .284 bullet. With a brake, it kicks like a .223. You can do either really. The short barrel for a kid is a real plus, and honestly it is fun to shoot as an adult as well. We have a Winchester M70 Classic Compact in 7-08 and it is a great gun. Also had a M77 Ruger Compact that was a hoot to shoot. Great for running up and down the hills in southern for the Coues Deer ... if you don't mind the traffic coming north that is.

do you shoot a bow with these?? I bought it but took it back, seems kinda bulky. I ended up with the s4 . I don't like it either... comfortable but kinda pain if you take out your binos alot while hiking. caps off caps on.. UHHHGGGG! The horn hunter, is that the bino hub? I like the design... I should have shot my bow with them. I like that they are super sturdy for extra protection. and the range finder holder is super cool. The S4 has open side and knowing me I'll be crawling through the grass weeds sticker bush and whatever else to try and get a sneak on.... James Well ... I pretty much do everything wearing binos. The Horn Hunters have not gotten in my way yet. Certainly not as bulky as some of the systems out there.

I am going to take a gun in to Phoenix Customs in the next week or so. I've heard nothing but great things about their brakes and installations.

M-Pro7 cleaner for my pistols and revlovers. Hoppes 9 on my rifles for "regular cleaning" and Sweets for copper fouling. I usually follow the cleaners with dry patches followed by a "brake cleaner" patch and more dry patches ... then oil. I've used several oils.

Hmmmm ... declining deer population due to predation ... Mexican Grey Wolf release program ... can anyone say MISTAKE!!!! I have hunted 27 on and off for the past 15 or so years. There are still some mulie bucks in there, but sure a lot less than there used to be. Couple of years back we hunted for several days and only saw a couple of small guys.

I've got the 10x42 Razor HD's. They are really nice. I actually liked the Zeiss better, but you just can't touch the Vortex Warranty, so I got them instead. I am not disappointed.
