Anyone else read where there is an Executive Order either being contemplated or been signed (not sure which) that would make forums like this one illegal??? Something about discussion of firearms and ammunition being illegal without the permission of the FED. I just read about it briefly. Wasn't sure if there was someone who had read more it and could speak more to what it really means.

Sorry to hear about this Coach. I hear you on the costs...I had spinal fusion late last year to take care of a 23 year old herniated disc, and even with my insurance it cost a fortune. That said....when it comes to long term health, you gotta do what you gotta do. There are plenty of years for vacations. If it feels off, get it looked at. Additional time and stress on minor damage can result in much more severe damage.

I have an older Marlin with scope and ring over. Straight grip style. PM if interested.

Haven't shot this one...but the metal frames are great. Replaced H&K as my favorite platform. I'd go .40 over 9. Will do everything a 9 can do and more. Just my opinion.

I've only killed one, and only because it was in the masonry block pallets on a jobsite and we injured it trying to get it out and moved. If we hadn't injured it, I would have moved it and let it live. Had to be pulled out of the pallets to keep workers from getting whacked. Way I figure it, if one strikes at you, you did something wrong. They don't bite just for the heck of it ... their venom is used for hunting/food primarily. They just don't want to be messed with. I've moved plenty of them off of trails or out of areas where I am working/playing. Not difficult, though it pisses 'em off pretty good. Good pair of snake chaps or guards is critical in Arizona. Keeps you safe in the thick stuff where you can't see ... keeps the thorns and barbs out too.

Buddy of mine in college took a sawed off horn nub to the frank and beans while in a bull riding event. He didn't walk right for a month, and was lucky both berries stayed intact. You can have it ......

And if that don't work...rub his nose in dog excrement.......enthusiastically.

That said...my worst bite came from a Lab of all things....so you watch'em all...

There are many aggressive breeds of dogs. All can be well behaved if trained right. But a breed that is notedly aggressive should always be viewed with caution by those who'd rather not be a victim......I watch Pits, Rotts, German Shepherds, Dobies, American Bulldogs and all of the Mastiff variants closely...especially when kids are around. The bigger the dog, the more ready I am to react if necessary. A ZT 300 comes out quick and can end a situation in a flash. After all...they are just animals...even the best of them can be unpredictable.

I think I'da asked once ... after that it woulda been animal control and a face to face with the "neighbor". Wouldn't have left until the hill was gone and the dog was chained. " If I get to it..." my A~~. I'm a nice guy until nice doesn't work...then its time for business.

All I know about Timney is they make a good trigger and are great folks to deal with when it comes to customer service. Broke one that was 20+ years old in a gun that I didn't even own when the trigger was installed. Guy says "if its ours, its ours..." and handed me a new one free.
