All standard as far as I know. Haven't shot it. Took it in trade for a 22-250 a couple years back and I just don't have cause to use it. Guy who had it prior said it was a good rifle that shot well.

Camping is just not the same as it used to be. A while back I posted about some experiences camping and the thread took a weird turn and got deleted. Basic idea was that camping used to be about getting away from it all and enjoying the outdoors ... that has been derailed by jerks like the ones who entered your camp. You know it now, but I'll say it anyway ... never leave a gun in camp that isn't locked away in a vehicle.

I have seen more snakes in October and November than any other months ... most of them out to heat up in the sun. Been struck at numerous times while out quail and dove hunting. Al\way wear my guards ...............

What a shame. Hope they find the person(s) responsible. Wonder if it was shot by accident ... you know ... someone shooting at one and hitting the one behind it, or something like that. Not that such occurrences are okay ... KNOW YOUR TARGET AND BEYOND and all ... but it would lack the intent of a true poacher.

I've always been told never to clean right before a hunt. I have tested the theory, and find that it is sound advice. Every time I clean my first shot or so is a flyer. That would not do for hunting.

Well the kid sealed the deal early afternoon opening day. Did a great job spotting them. Followed that with a great shot. Many thanks to Uncle Bryan for the assist this weekend. Anyone know what happened off the 300 Road in 3C? We had just gotten back from the processor when we saw about 6 G&F and Sherriff trucks roll by. Later looked like two paramedic or ambulance type vehicles rolled past. Hope no one got hurt.
