Questions on the next setup...what off the shelf platform, various 6.5 options...
sjvcon replied to Green Bullet's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Tikka T3 is a great off the shelf rig. I've never heard anyone complain about anything but the plastic "bottom metal", which can be swapped out. My son has one in 22-250 and it is a great shooter. -
Anybody here an Exterminator? Or know of a good one to use?
sjvcon replied to PelaPapas's topic in The Campfire
Chickens. We use chickens. Still have bugs, but less than we had with Blue Sky or Green Mango. -
I don't get any chicks throwing themselves at me (except my wife) with a 24V. But then again, I am an ugly bastard. Smile if you ever call me that though .......

How much effort would you put forth to help someone like this?
sjvcon replied to GTIMANiac's topic in The Campfire
I'd probably help him by giving him some advice...buy a real 4x4. Not surprised there was little gratitude ... he probably thought you "owed it" to him. Good on you for trying. What a jerk. -
Gun Control: Pointing a firearm at the intended target and squeezing the trigger to obtain a hit in the desired area. The intended target can be paper, steel, dinner, or some jackass who is about to do serious, potentially fatal harm to you or others around you. Gun Free Zones: A place where good, law abiding people are forced to congregate like lambs at the slaughter. What a bunch of dopes.

Rechambering my Ruger MK II
sjvcon replied to Barnesboy's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
.280AI. Krieger, Brux, Bartlein, Rock Creek, Lilja, Shilen and several others. Depends on preference to Cut or Button Rifled, and if you want 5R or what? Get the right twist for the grains you want to shoot. Good bedding and trigger (Timney has a good one for the Mark II). -
STT's are great tires.
-
I was looking at those guys on ebay. I was just kinda nervous ordering tires from Ebay. How was your experience buying them from Ebay? Well...its Discount Tires...so it is the same as the local company. In fact I paid them to do the mounting. Just lookup Discount Tires Direct on Ebay.
-
I have read some reviews on them that said they were pretty decent for the money. That said, I like Nitto/Toyo (I think the same parent co) and I am becoming a fan of Cooper, which my son put on his Ford. I have also had great luck with Hankook tires, though have not run their Mud Terrains.

CZ makes great rifles ... I had one in 22-250 and am kicking myself for getting rid of it. Traded for another caliber when my son got a 22-250. Dumb .... REALLY DUMB.
