I think a bolt has to be fitted and spec'd out. I dont think you can just put one on, I might be wrong though. Thinking they have to see what you have and the condition it's in before they know what it needs. Doesnt sound out of line to me.

A tragedy for sure, poor girl will have some demons to fight. I don't see her as having any fault though. The YouTube filming parents and the instructor but not the girl. I cannot grasp why either of these adults thought this was good. Or why the instructor stood on that side, for better filming I bet, that didn't work.

Auto-start is a nice upgrade! Solenoid is a good starting point, but that is crazy.

We have had reds and blues. Probly my favorite dogs. Tough, loyal and yes very smart. Never had biting issues but one would heal the kids if they ran. They are energetic and if you don't spend time with them they find other ways to spend energy, like eating everything. But good dogs for sure.
