Did he say Snarky? -
It's just polite for any family that is on the site, which I think is what we want, family involved and engaged. I might let a word fly at work, but not at in front of my kids. That does not make me a snowflake, just being respectful.

bulls drop on the rim and white mountains early and earlier. a few can be hacked off with good hatchets. under the rim you can expect larger bulls to hide and most mature bulls will stay for months and easily be found with no tag in hand. northern winter range bulls will be a hoot and beer leads to a little fun with horn. the only real advice is STAY OFF THE MOUNTAIN until april first you Cornbagger. good luck,

I liked that until I saw Stanley's picture, I don't feel comfortable drinking around those two.

If you knew me, you would soon realize that I am the polar opposite of the sheep herd. Sheep get eaten by the Wolves. We put a man on the moon. We can certainly figure out a way to secure the border. The Chinese did it. Anybody that slipped over was dealt with, swiftly, and harshly. Man on the moon? You believe that one?

Boy if I ever see anything like that he gets a free pass just for being that foxy! Now I have to look up for fox and lions, down for snakes, it's getting sketchy.

Just north of Payson the Verde crosses under the highway, some big holes in there that migh have a hold out or two. But most streams are wiped clean quickly.

Just my though for today. It used to be that dove season brought the worst people out. Too lazy to do anything else, sit in a chair drinking beer, leaving trash. I think as time has moved on we now have side by sides and 1000 yard guns, enter the lazy hunters again. No i'm not calling you lazy, but now the same bottom feeders can hunt all day and shoot across the state and never break a sweat. That is the kind of hunters that everyone is seeing, that are public and visible for all to see. They are driving everywhere and shooting at anything and if you got the cash you can too. But don't lose hope the rest of us are there too, you just don't us driving across country because we are walking through the brush. You don't hear us emptying magazines because we are waiting for our shot. Our land has just be invaded by morons that we have to put up with, because you know what it makes you if you argue with them.

Watch Where You Step - The Aftermath / How to Skin That Snake
Hunterjohnny replied to PRDATR's topic in The Campfire
My dad shot this one a month ago up by Payson. He is super afraid of snakes so he kept shooting as long as it was moving. That would have been a sweet skin to have. I have never seen one of these before. -
I will be helping on a hunt in Unit 1 Friday, cant wait!

Look at parkerizing also. I did two rifles and really liked it. I mean I did them myself it wasn't hard. Not expensive guns but it was fun doing it.

Hey now.....I've hunted unit 1 several times over the years and have met several great ethical people "hunters" there. Please do not put everyone in same category just because we hunt same unit....Greg I love it! Don't call Dirtbag a dirtbag!

I will take rough over washboards any day! That is something I truly dislike.

"How did I live without it?" Hunting Gear

GPS, they have come so far and I still have no sense of direction! -
My thinking has changed through the years. I used to be all about big guns and overkill. But I have come to feel that a smaller gun that you can control better is the gun you want. I carry my 9mm and practice with it. I am confident I can keep dumping rounds on a target until the clip is empty or the situation is resolved. I know most dont agree with this but that is my opinion. It's more about what you are comfortable using than the size. And it did end well with the guide and gun doing their jobs, what more could you ask?

Power bait and worms, light weights, maybe even a bobber. But Woods Canyon isnt very shore friendly for small kids, steep rocky banks. Black Canyon or Willow Springs have flat shoreline so kids can run about. All good choices but Woods Canyon gets crowded early in the day so get down there early.

Tucson is using concrete now? They are coming along.

Whats the difference floating around at night compared to the day .floatins/floatin, no big deal really here not to much mean stuff in the water out here compared to other parts of the country. It's just creepy in the dark!
