Hunthis started following Kaibab 12A East tag secured

Lucky me, my friend and I have 12A East tags for any antlered deer 10-21 thru 10-30. I live in Tucson and have never been up to the area. Any advice or hot spots would be very appreciated.

1966 Remington 700 BDL .264 Win Mag
Hunthis replied to GoneHunting's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
My dad and I both shoot the .264. I love mine. My dad's is the ultra light, I called it the punisher it only weighs 7 lbs. Mine weighs 12 much better, enjoy it is the best deer rifle. 500 yards is meat in the freezer. -
I agree that is why I contacted Gabe with AZ game and fish. My friends and I have been involved with the cleanups through Arizona hunters who care for many years. This site would be a good one for the media to be involved in. It's the worst I've seen in my 14 years of hunting the 36 units. This picture in only one area of the wash. There is trash down the wash for at least a mile.

Great picture from a new friend that was in the field and just stopped and helped.

I have contacted the ranger for this unit and there is no date set yet for the next clean up but he is considering a mini-clean up for this area in the spring. I will post the date and contact you guys then, thanks for your support, Mike.

This is a wash off of Chavez Siding, 36B. We have been hunting here for years and going down twice a year with hunters who care and cleaning up their mess. This is by far the worst we have seen in 10 years of hunting there. We plan to concentrate on this area on the next cleanup. Yes we will need lots of help it's 1/2 mile up a wash.

This was the biggest buck we saw all day. I missed on the first shot, down hill. Down the canyon then up the canyon. 18" window through the Ocotillo. Double lung and heart he went 35 yards.

I have a friend at work and her son wants to get into archery hunting. He is a starving student at the U of A and can't afford new equipment. I recently gave my extra bow to a friend to get him into archery. Does anyone have an extra? Thanks I'm new to the site and really like it, thanks guys and gals.
