C/W member says his card got hit
hunterdude replied to Huntn coues's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Found out today none of my bonus pionts transfered to my Dept. provided sportsmans I.D. # from my Soc. . I called G&F and they said they will correct the problem after the draw. Bless their hearts! The guy I spoke to when I got the # said the points would tranfer with no problem! I must have put in for the same hunts that he did! -
Hey Red Rabbit, thats the number for Glen. If you get in there to see him tell him Chris Weaver from Casa Grande said hey! He does build a heck of a rifle and is just a wealth of knowledge. He worked for Harris-McMillan years ago and then went out on his own. Good Luck on the draws!

Try Pearce Quality arms in Camp Verde. He just moved up there from Sierra Vista. He built a .300 win mag for my and it shoots great, he does alot of thousand yard guns and has done alot of L.E. guns, he does alot of research and development for Schmitt and Bender and has built guns for the 2000yrd competion. If you want his number I'll get it for you his prices are very reasonable and work is class "A"!

Thats good to know! I just won a Howa Lightning .308 at the Freinds of the N.R.A. banquet. Can't wait to get out and try it out. I was dang lucky that night I also won a Ruger Mark III S/S competition pistol. Thats the first gun or guns I have ever won. Hopefully my luck will continue!!

Whats In A Name
hunterdude replied to GameHauler's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I got my name from my Lovely wife! She refers to me as a hunterdude when she is talking to other people about what I like to do for fun. Works for me! -
They should have shot the bastard with blunts and rubber bullets, throw his sorry butt in a big Cholla and cover him with honey and let the ants clean him up! Just my thought of the slug.

That .250 will drop dogs all day long. Thats what I use, or I will try to punish them with a .243 . It's all good fun.
-
dang, They had a really good hunt. What did the deer score?
-
I've got two of them and was thinking of having a CWT special " Two for the price of ONE". I'll be nice and pay the shipping. But wait there is more if you buy now I'll throw in one of those for free.

I might be wrong but I think alot of this was going on before Buch was in office so maybe you should back up a little bit and blame it on Mrs. Gun control Clinton and her Husband!!!
-
Naw, mine is in the back window. I never ventured into 5b. I stayed up around Fr. 229, and then moved down to the lower part of the unit.
-
I was in the Clints well area for two weeks it might have been me. A Drak green chevy.
-
I'll give you $12.50 and I'll pay the shipping!

I have a Yamaha Grizzly and a Big Bear and Like both. Out of the two I would by the Grizzly for a few reasons, independent suspinsion and a automatic trans w/engine braking. Engine brakes a really nice on steep hills, and the suspension makes a difference at the end of a long day.

who hunts with ballistic tip ammo?
hunterdude replied to AZ RANGER's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I tried 130gr. and they grouped about a 1" and tried 150gr. and they grouped about 3/4". It all depends on the rifle some shoot everything others don't. -
who hunts with ballistic tip ammo?

I shot a deer 2 years ago at 206yrds. and the deer only moved downward. I think for deer, and goats this is a good bullet, but for elk I would use a Partition. -
I saw 18 turkey's, 8 mulie bucks, 31 elk, a few desent shooters, 3 yotes, and a boneless cow elk. I can't say where the boneless cow is becuase of a pending case. It consisted of a cow skull, complete perfectly skinned hind, and a gut pile, NO BONES OR MEAT! It is kind of easy to figure out who did it by its location and the access to the area. Game and fish jumped on it quick!

Thats a hard shot to repeat! dang

I have been shooting my bow almost daily for the past couple of weeks and it seems to progressively hit lower. I have already moved the sight down twice to compensate for the drop in elevation. I am almost thinking that maybe my string might be stretching. My sight is tight and eveything else is staying tight. Any thought or suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks

Be careful on how much background you put in your pictures. Landmarks are a dangerous thing to include when showing photos. If I was you I would become a close friend with that Goat and visit him a couple of times a month.
-
My thought on this is, it's not a bad thing but in some Nat. forest you can only have it in there for 14 days then you have to move it out of the forest. Now how that holds up in court with hunts back to back I don't know. I would probably worry more about people jacking with it more than anything else.

Negative jamaro, my groups stayed tight. The cable was stretching and causing it to slow down. I went ahead and had them replace the cable and string and it is fine now.

Hey got my bow fixed today at Archery Headquarters. Zach hooked me up, if you know who he is I was very pleased with his promptness and courtesy to help me out and give me very fast service. I will defiantly be going back with service like that. Zach if you are on here Thanks again for your help!

Cool pictures and some good stories. Keep it up and good luck hunting.

If he pays you the " BUCK " would be in your wallet. This is where lots of scouting comes in handy. Oh don't forget the walking part of it , you'll have to pound some ground to get around.
