bummer that this happened. gas left in camp is one thing but I'm sure a few others may be thinking like I am I'd never leave a pistol / weapon of anykind that wasn't locked/ hidden in my truck if I'm out of camp it's the world we live in - thieves aren't goona let a zippered tent stop them from looking / taking more stuff ! if its a backpack in camp -- the pistol would never leave my belt sorry thieves stole your stuff -

if the G&F regs state that you can not cut any fence to gain access to state trust land - I highly doubt its ok to cut and then repair a ranchers fence .

Coconino National Forest Wants your Feedback On road Closures

at the very least - list a couple of your favorite roads that were closed - ask for reasoning and request that they be reopened . here's a chance to at least voice an option to some of the closures. why open a thru road only 3/4 of the way and/or close a small portion on the same road - doesn't make much sense - I asked why To close a good road and reroute the travel across an almost impassable / dangerous route - makes no sense I'm sure every one here has good roads that were closed - at least ask why If you don't want more closed later - then at least say something now Hey we had little or no imput earlier -

No - I've never drawn a tag on the occasions I've had the funds or the time to apply. I guess my post sounded a bit negative - I do have several close friends whom have drawn tags over the yrs . what I stated doesn't have to apply to everyone - I'm sure everyone should try to hunt as they like - great I hope all get a chance to see some buffalo and fill a tag . if your in the north Kiabab the fact is most every water hole has a blind - there is a limited number of these scattered across the hunting area - Most guides / hunters find this the most productive way to hunt these bison is to sit water - when they are off the national park - Here's where part of that work together comes into play as hunters jockey to be in the right spot at the right time , somebody will most likely be in one of those blinds. I volunteered to help and was told what to expect - sorry if I sounded negative to you and others I hope everyone has a great time and tags out

as far as the BACON goes - I guess I should not have said wrapped - I usually just cover the top of the exposed roast with 3 or 4 slices so it will not dry out you can always put the cooked bacon slices on someone else's plate or just toss- chances are you'll never even taste the BACON
-
my #1 go to roast cooking method use a big turkey sized oven pan buy the turkey size oven bake bags Sear the meat to a medium brown in whatever oil you prefer - I like sunflower seed - try to get all sides if possible -will splatter a lot ! wrap roast in a couple slices of bacon now here you can add whatever items you like to eat I prefer chopped - potatoes - onions-bell peppers-carrots - celery -mushrooms I then add a cup of water and a box of beef stock - not broth less salty place seared roast in bed of veggies - I sometimes add a seared pork loin cuz the venison shrinks and I add way too many veggies - feeds 6-8 or 2 people 3-4 times depending on how much veggies you add I switched to a steel /metal turkey roaster bottom pan as it usually weighs 10 + lbs and the aluminum pans could barley hold up I cook at 285 * for 3 hrs to get a medium rare type roast you can poke the carrots to see if need more cooking if carrots are done - its ready here agin you can season how you like or go with the green chilis and a can or 2 of dices tomatoes can of green enchilada sauce to make a burrito base a cup of water this can cook about the same maybe a little less time if you like a more medium rare add the hot stuff to taste
