on an added note-- the ole patch & roundball was a VERY accurate load - especially in those ole long barrels with slow twist and the have great ballistics -
Early warnings- they do warn people - been on then news for days monsoon season here be prepared for floods - people getting sand bags etc. problem is--not everyone is paying attention very tragic - heart felt sorrow for all families involved or affected by this there are no real warnings from mother nature - yes signs can be put up to bring situations like this to peoples attention even if signs were up stating this area is prone to flash floods during the monsoon season please check local weather before daily use. I doubt it would make a big difference- people walk by and pay little if no attention to signs anymore. we see this happen time and agin from floods due to rains - loss of lives and property - all over the news every yr they set up barricades to keep people from flooding streets/ washes -- they just drive around them its not the first time and sad to say it probably will not be the last time no one can predict these things to give people protection-

Powder Vs. Pellets

heres some good read for all muzzleloader shooters as far as what to use -- lots of different views you'll basically have to do trial and error on your own to find out what works best for you try one or 2 of suggested loads--- remember every gun can shoot a little different -just like the person shooting it here some needed information- https://www.hodgdon.com/resources/warnings/ before all the sabbots/pellets -- basics were 100 gr powder and a 300 gr projectile -- usually very accurate and will KILL -
fairly easy to google try www.theoutdoorsupplystore.com

I guess I need to ask - any pictures of these permanent blinds ? I don't mind sitting but 12-14 hrs a day in all kinda of weather 10-14 days in a row doesn't sound like fun. I can say -just sitting a few hrs in a comfortable chair is about it for me- i'd have to get up and take a walk or at least go empty out system and not in the blind if these people talk about "the hunt" I don't see it. whats the comment his friend had to stay in camp - this a new different rule ? guess if i'm going for the meat the easy way to go is winslow- go out follow hay trailer -shoot the one pointed out- load on trailer - haul butt to processor and be done with it.

I got a traffic violation. Now I need to go to traffic school. Recommendations?
elkaholic replied to More D's topic in The Campfire
so funny --not your ticket but I sometimes watch the shows on tv and just about 99.99% of minor offense like yours woulda been a warning now I don't know if because they are trying to look good on tv or we just have some -not all- total aces for our great state troopers. school still beats insurance going up and no records of violation- not much choice - sorry kinda reminds me to thk and stop - Thanks -
got a pm - should be spf
