did the print extras last yr. - thought of that while I stood in line at Sportsman Saturday to get one - could barely ready the scribbled copy anyway! , plus I needed 2018 lion - archery deer I liked my idea of taking a picture of it on my phone. Seems like nobody goes anywhere without their phone either in pocket or truck !

Any Sign of Rut Activity for Archery Hunt in Southern Az?
elkaholic replied to azbullelkman's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
too many archery deer taken in 29 -- that's the biggest joke around. ask locals there are more deer poached in 29 than probably any other unit in the state I call it reputable source of info -- lived and hunted it 60+ yrs - seen G&F less than a dozen times over that time period only once when contacted about violators. G&F has no clue as to harvest numbers - LOL the ice cream the deer like is planted fields set up blinds on all corners during seasons and shots are often heard at night -

What do you bear guys think about these two?
elkaholic replied to mattys281's topic in Trail Cameras
looks to be same bear ---- bottom one is a little closer to the camera and in a different light , flip a coin -
hunts don't actually over lap much but during an active hunt - others are out scouting for their upcoming hunt which usually begins the day after a hunt ends we'd actually put out a sign HUNTERS at tank or in area . Nobody cares -- they drive right up and do whatever they set out to do! NOTHING NEW here in AZ. Sorry to say but get use to it - it isn't gonna get any better

pretty brave to keep all that in a garage sorry u were ripped off but way to easy seeing things in a garage even left open movin things in and out of a vechile I suspect a neighbor hood person hate to say friends of family BUT THATS A LOTOF $$$$ STUFF

younger days numerous hunts carring bow/ gun - just in case that super trophy buck wasn't allowing a bow kill-- usually makes for easy gun kill. take Both ! I had one hunt where I was VERY GLAD I carried that RIFLE!
-
like the ride down - your on your own ride back ? lol ranch location ? size area to hunt ? you need to be a lot more specific other than tags and rifles A little information about yourself might go a long ways also !
-
it's far from free meat! it's normally way harder than normal hunts. good luck to all hunters! Water is gonna make the difference, tanks are few and far apart and I have doubts any holding water. if you can hunt the edges of chevlon canyon that's WHERE I'D BE !

here's a dozen magnum shells 31x17 they need clean up new paint to look terrific - other than that great shape 4 heads up -- 8 heads down / feeders -- easy to carry on / off field asking $100 - great for beginner or add to your set-up thanks Gary NPHX 602-993-2657

if you hunt the MAZE jungle in the river bottom -- use a single shot pistol - no chance to raise a rifle - tooo thick not a fun hunt
-
this is for any game animal :: just because you wear plastic/rubber gloves doesnt mean you wont spread contamination. like stated above - hang(if possible) - skin out avoid touching or any contact with meat - especialy after holding / grabbing leg - hide etc. gut- etc. if u debone in field - change glove s and/or wash hands - clean resharpen knife - I spread out my pocket poncho to lay chunks meat - put clean meat in game bags and then on ice if in ice chest open drain plug !!
-
1200 tags -- they've had more than that for 10+ yrs in unit 10 - that's just cow tags hey- people just want to draw a tag according to G&F - they don't care about success !

Happens all the time - your not alone. deadend rd 3/4 mile long -open desert country except where the rd ends one hill with a trail.. !-I'm park at 1/2 mile spot - to not scare anything on hillside trail get to top - only one real good spot to see everything in a big bowl - glass 1/2 hr. here comes guy and kid basically sit right next to me I'm like "really" walking a old really rough jeep trail - in an narrow wash - walked the 3/4 mile in -it ends a 1 mile in -- 4 guys in sideby "ROARING " up behind me- ask me where I'm going - like theres a lot of options. said good luck and basically made me get out of there way cuz they're in a hurry - right at day break - I cant say on here what I wanted to say
