Sportsmans Input Sought by ConserveandProtectAZ.org-Unit wide Raffle and Auction Tags
elkaholic replied to Jay Scott's topic in The Campfire
As far as I can tell the group of people want more tags-- tags mean they get a better chance to hunt the best of what Arizona has to offer in trophy class animals !! Most( rich folks + others) don't like the fact that here in Arizona the majority of normal hunts- tags per species- the Limit per species in ONE per yr. With 90% + of tags being a random open draw! Which means they ultimately don't get a chance to hunt! the more of these premium tags they can get means open season yr. round no limit! which is means they can hunt where and whenever they want-- money is not a problem to these type of hunters. -- in a lot of other states - a lot of tags go to high bidders. the majority of joe hunters in Arizona are opposed to these type of changes. these same people failed to push legislation thru - with a legislator in their pocket a paid lobbist and a bill that wanted the basic same tags they want now. last time - according to the facts-- we needed a new expo- funds to go to G&F. it was easy to see in the wording they wanted much more! we were lied to and they tried to sneak it by us !! this time its the same ole they want tags - but hope to seek approval for funds to fight for education thru different so called methods but same results ! They get more tags and the money goes to G&F. we've heard nothing from these people but the same old song and dance - the Koolaid has changed color but poured from the same pitcher. Don't be surprised if nothing changes with their meetings and information and their agenda , and what they report or present it to G&F. TAGS TAGS TAGS period no other way - no other idea will get them what the want ! HUNTING YEAR ROUND ANY AND ALL SPECIES -

figured this red dude was here to side tract from the issue of stealing tags . almost all comments are about his agenda. where's the bill that they'll try to push past legislation. It's the same as last time, the only way they can get the tags -

I GUESS WE WANT PROOF! If indeed (whatever the group is calling itself this time) stopped the HSUH. Congrats. How did you do it!? How many man hrs.!? How much money was spent !? Where did those funds come from !? to say transparency-open forum--you've ALREADY FAILED-EVEN PEOPLE IN YOUR OWN GROUPS DIDN'T KNOW--AGAIN Don't just say--- look what we did and we need more money to stop the next time, cuz they'll be back and we want to be prepared--- The only way we can get the money is by raffling/ selling off Arizona's best big game tags/. Last time it was because we needed a new expo- this time to fund the fight! DO not be fooled - JUST SAY NO -

few tags don't make me laugh! this the same song and dance as before from the same people who tried to "STEAL" our governors tag last time to fund and expo and pad their pockets and give rich boys all the premium hunts and kill the premium animals anytime of yr. all yr long. they weren't happy with one or 2 tags they wanted hundreds of every specie, in every unit of the state. They want year round access to the best of everything in Arizona . If you think this agenda has changed, you wrong. they'll say anything - do anything to get something they lost last time. please don't fooled this time around. THEY WON'T BE HAPPY WITH ONE OR 2 TAGS If you want Arizona to be the next paid safari land -where these tag grabbers can , buy the best tags and kill the best animals,-- let the rich boys in -- they wlll figure a way to get'm all they have bidding wars now to get these few governors tags. if its a raffle ,most of us might be able to afford a few tickets spend 100 don't think for a minute they haven't figured got ways exploit the system. they got the money to spend and could care less about you or me having a say or a chance at these tags NO NO NO NO NO -
AZGFD to ban all trail cameras near developed water sources
elkaholic replied to Roughneck91's topic in The Campfire
Come on Mike - we all know the ethical hunting and fair chase rules don't have nothing to do with the way G&F actually works in the field- especially with the buffalo - ethics - fair chase hasn't happened under the supervision of G&F at Raymond ranch for 20+ yrs . only applies when they want to make new rules for hunters do as I say don't worry about what I'm doing!- 36 replies

what type of weapon is best for hunting turkey? I'm curious
elkaholic replied to melvin's topic in Turkeys!
all great advise ^^^ - everyone will be different - typically 12ga. shotgun- shooting 3 in shells - is the most commonly used by adults. there are all types of ammo/ turkey loads - from $5 box to $5 a shell 4-6 birdshot is adequate , buy anyplace. want the newst "best" number shot pellets down range at 50 yrds. get the new federal sst. its a 7 or 9 shot that doubles the number of killing pellets at 50 yrds.! like $45 for a box of 5. specifically designed for maximum down range killing power PATTERN whatever load you are going to use all shotguns shoot different. -
at least they can try to monitor cams at tanks where there are dozens. to try to monitor any one of the hundreds of natural streams be kinda hard since it does state man made development I would guess that includes any of the lakes here in AZ, as they are all manmade!

I'm from real old school --park and swap- at greyhound dog track since I was 7. buy sell trade was how we lived - buy it for next to nothing fix it resell it. yard sales are huge for people dumpin stuff- I have resold for less than I paid - more than i'd like to admit. everyone looks for deals - I rarely want to just give anyone what they want- guess i'll never change - not like I'm a rich cheapskate. just doing what I learned ! good luck to all selling stuff- - I've tried to basically give high dollar stuff for 1/2 price I still got it or was offered less. Nature of the bargain beast yes -i'm 65 and I'm still riding a bike! $450 dollar bike for $125 -
you should be able to catch a 'CRAP' of them
