    Dear Arizona Game & Fish,

50 000 annual deer tags. Approx. After the 3rd. yr wait 150,000 aren't applying annually. I think my odds got a lot better!

    Dear Arizona Game & Fish,

2 or 3 yr wait after a sucessfully drawing an elk or deer tag. Allow them to purchase a bonus point for each yr. of the waiting period. So they'd have 3 or 4 pts. When eligible for next draw. Easy money , with little loss of revenue for g&f. By the 3rd yr. Odds are everyone should have gotten a tag. Everyone would be eligible for leftover tags.

thoughts on putting up stands early

People are funny. Great elk tank. Basically permanent stand in tree, several yrs. Only the stand, guy must take ladder with him. Several days before season starts, I build a permanent ground blind , not far from stand , beside tank. Opening day, after chasing bugles all morning, I'm gonna sit blind. I find a hunter up in tree! I'm basically told it's his tank and he'll be in it every day. Ok I leave and go sit on main trail leading from meadow to tank. Next afternoon I get to blind early. Guy shows up and says I should leave. I tell him I'm here first so deal with it. Cuz I'll be sitting the blind every evening. Hes totally ticked off and hangs around yelling an d making lots of noise till almost dark. I come back to sit tank next evening. Blind is totally thrown apart in every direction. I come back next morning after chasing bugling bulls and rebuild it. I sit it early , guy drives up, cursing and flipping me off. He even comes back at prime time and starts honking horn. Guess he finally decided to hunt someplace else. Some hunters act like they own the forest. The next time I hunted that unit His tree stand was gone !!!

    .243 for mulies?

Youll be looking for shot grouping. Biggest mistake. Different brands of ammo will have different points of impact. Meaning 100 grain Federals may not group in the same spot as 100 gr. Hornaday or Winchester So dont spend a lot of time sighting in different brands/weights. Look for best grouping first! Once you find the one you like , then sight it in zeroed at like 200
