No protection given from the OP short shorts. 87) Remember the orange trees planted all the way down the middle of Black Canyon Freeway (Now called I-17). 88) Ever get your butt and legs burned by metal slides at the Whataburger across from Metrocenter? (What sadist would put metal slides on a kids playground in Phoenix????!!) 89) Remember when Sun City wasn't connected to the rest of the valley? 90) Ever have brunch at Mother Tuckers? 91) Remember when it only took 2 hours to drive to Flagstaff. 92) Going to slide rock in Sedona and hoping it wasn't closed due to high levels of bacteria in the water! 93) Remember when Terminal 2 was the only passenger terminal at Sky Harbor and you had to walk on the tarmac. 94) Got free tokens at the Valley West Mall arcade for good grades on your report card. 95) Celebrated a birthday at Ed Debevic's. 96) Thought Bobby McGee's was the coolest restaurant ever or went to Dr. Munchies. 97) Ever rode the "crack the whip" ride at Encanto Park. 98) Ever got attacked by a jumping cactus. 99) Know what to do when you hear a rattle in the desert. 100) Used to shop at LaBelles, eat lunch at Liberty Bell Pizza or get soda at the U-TOTEM on Cactus. 101) Remember the commercial about Valley Fever..."Dustyyyy, dustyyyy, dustyyyy"! 101) Remember when you could get 2 tacos and a small drink at Taco Bell for $2. 102) Had hot air balloons land in your backyard when you lived on 75th Ave and Bell by the orange groves known now as "Arrowhead Mall." 103) Witnessed the shock when the "art" on the 51 when installed. (Referring to the lovely toilet and large silver sphere.) 104) Had the bell rung for their birthday at Farrell's (Christown). 105) Remember going to the Phoenix Firebirds baseball games. 106) Remember Dewey Hopper-the weather guy who always wore school t-shirts. 107) Watched World Beyond on Sat. mornings. 108) Ate at Bob's Big Boy. 109) Enjoyed three scoop ice cream cones at Thrifty's. 110) Ever shopped at Pic n Save (aka "Pick Your Nose") 111) Remember "Come on over, to Peter Piper Pizza!" add your own- a few they forgot 112 - Manzanita raceway

Horse riding stables at south mtn.park !!! Go on night rides during a full moon. Zonkeys at the ranch at 43rd and grand and camelback. My freind from Alhambra lived there.

Loved Smittys Big Town. Mom worked for them 35 yrs. Bought my first rifle there, a rem. 788 in 308 149.95. Shoots as good now as when I bought it.

RARE. Now thats funny.

Had an elk hunt where this guy, minister from Utah, swore up and down and every which way . His ole hand sharpened zwicky broadheads would have a pass thru penatration. Especislly if under 50 yrds.No matter where it hit. Second day of the hunt he came back to camp missing an arrow. When questioned he was a little hesitant, telling us , that he had a good hit on this monster bull. But couldnt find his arrow. It was a broadside at 40 ish yrds. So out we go yo help track and recover his bull. Found the spot he shot from. ,the place the bull was standing . No arrow to be found with little sign of blood. Followed tracks best we could but marked a small puddle here and there. By time it was dark , we basically called it off for the night. Marked the last sign Looked most next morning , we found his broken off arrow. About 24in long , no sign of blood on it! Later that night we found his bull. Chasing cows , bugling like crazy . Had a piece of arrow sticking out his front shoulder by a dryed up blood spot! So much for his pass thru crap ! Lots of lost,, dead animals and a few still running around due to improper shot placement. Knowing yardage and having a good kill shot. Or DON'T SHOOT!! You can do everything right and still not fill a tag! Good luck and hunt smart !

The more you spend time in the area you found deer, the better off you'll be next time. Getting to know it . Find little pockets of water etc. , like locating springs or seeps. Maybe this next spring, go shed hunting / quail hunting in the same spots you saw those monsters ! You'd be surprised how deer frequent an area. Knowing their core area will definitely make it easier next season. Hope you have many hunting trips in your future!

estrus cows do play a major roll in the rut. Not all cows are bred the first time around . The actual breeding can last several months. I've seen calfs with spots in sept before during the early archery hunt. Don't give up just because you don't hear a lot of bugling

I'll only go up in a ladder stand anymore,! Some of the climbing ones are way safer than they use to be! The swaying is not so bad but the creeeking and a popping noise makes ne a bit nervous , w hen the woods are silent. I've had owls scare the crap out of me too. During that pre dawn sitting.
