    Commissioner Pleads Not Guilty

you got to understand - he knows how the game is played!! turning ones self in -and gettting a citation should be admission of guilt!! - to plead not guilty is the ONLY way for him to avoid possible charges/fines from either the judge or the commission . one dove - one fish -one frog , lizard whatever praire dog - if he broke the law and admitted to it and recieved a citiaion - where do they draw the line !! a lesson to remember - !!

Any thoughts on Pentax 20x60 PCF?

the 16x50 pcf are a much better fit of glassing offhand - 20's are for tripods to big to handle stay away from the xcf's cheaper variation in my opinion My 15 yr old pair are my go to binos and still work great - for distance glassing-easy light and work great off a tripod quality glass for the price used ususally less than 100

    Luck of the draw?

we all know the computer selects random #'s for the draw - most likely the names are drawn on a n alphabetical type system like the first 2 letters of the last name -- whole families have been drawn putting in for the exact same hunts on different applications!! case in point - the family from showlow - (i think ) a few yrs back all applied seperatly for buffalo - they all drew the exact same hunt! like 4 of the 5 bull buffalo tags - astronmical odds!! they had to rent a refrigerator semi for the meat!- maybe someone else can verify. the g&f has never changed the programing of the draw as far as we know - time for a change !!!
  7. ok i was gonna guess 142 2/8 but couldnt make the trip - lol hope everyone gothome safely we all know that storm that pushed thru causing problems but much needed rain

    Youth Camp Donations

I'd like to express a Big THANK YOU to Jay Parks and Cade Smith of Triclawps. Jay contacted me with a very generous donation of a couple of triclawps for this seasons up coming youth camps. These are an awesome raffle item and a couple of our youths will win a great prize. It's great when people like Jay and Cade offer to help, the" kids" are the future of out hunting heritage. We all know hunting season is coming fast! so when your digging thru that gear , if it hasnt been used in a while or your planning on upgrading to the newest and the greatest stuff . Think of the kids and take the time to donate something to one of the many youth camps that will be taking place this season. Now I've never used a triclawps but I can say WOW - I took one and mounted it on a old tripod -which will be donated for this triclawps, and I can see where it greatly improves the chances of a super steady shot. my T/C looks great and I know it'd improve my chance at a late season whitetail - hmmm If you aren't familiar with Triclawps - you can get them right here at the cwt store Agin a big THANK YOU to Jay and Cade So if you think of any items to donate for an upcoming youth camp - do it! bino's-rangefinders-scopes-tripods-knives-anytype of hunting gear would be greatly appreciated.!

    Is this lion sign?

how to id lion poop :: Instructions 1 Look at size. Generally, the scat of a mountain lion is roughly the same size as dog scat, making it fairly distinct from the much smaller scat of bobcats and the larger scat of deer, elk and other bigger mammals. 2 Check out the composition. Cougar scat has a fairly consistent composition. However, one of the most noticeable features of cougar scat is the presence of a fair amount of hair, usually the remnants of the animal's last meal. 3 Look at the shape. While mountain lion scat is similar in size to dog scat it has some noticeable differences. Mountain lion scat has distinctly rounded ends. The scat is also divided into fairly clear segments, each of which is roughly one inch in diameter. 4 Pay attention to the location. Like most cats, mountain lions are fairly deliberate about where they put their droppings. Mountain lions often leave their scat in the open. For example, you'll find it on the middle of a trail. In many cases, the animal gathers a small pile of debris, such as a pile of twigs or leaves, and then defecates on it as a territorial marker. </p>

    Elk meat to share

dont have a smoker but you can choose any flavor / marinade you like - i think they have some smoke flavors. this is the way i usually do mine simple easy - full cut strips of meat - always awesume i like bourban pepper and my son really likes the lime chipolte. oven drying is no real mess or hazzle or smell takes about 4 hrs at 200* for an oven full i cut meat and soak/marinade over night then clean excess marinade off before drying- this is the only messy part . skewer each piece on a round tooth pick and hang on the rack with foil below as in picture
