You will never get a big one if you shoot those little ones, even if it is the last day. Obviously you are in the fisrt stage of your hunting career. You do know the three stages you go through in your hunting career don't you. Doesn't apoint have to be an inch long to be considered a point? Was just wondering. You are correct though, it will be good eating.

Sorry that happened to you. The exact same thing happened to my son and I a few years back in unit 27, and to beat it all, it was one of the local guides with a customer following right behind him. We managed to catch them and after having to keep my son from chopping some trees with them as axes they understood. Worst of all they did it in the Blue Wilderness Area. Bye

Each and every one of us needs to band together and make SURE this bill does not get passed, added in its present form or any amended form. They are considering removing what has to amount to hundreds of tags from the draw system and then sell them to the highest bidder, or do something underhanded and give one of their buddies a tag. The bill is so stupid that I can't even think of what the hidden ajenda may be. Start issuing land owners tags that they can sell?? Anyway, WE need to stop this. It is already hard enough to get the tag you would like to have. But if WE just sit bye and let this happen THE GUYS WITH THE BIG BUCK CAN GET THE TAG THEY LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That all for now, longtime

minimum caliber rifle for deer
longtime replied to BigBfever's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Ryann and Amy should not be issued tags. Shootin 600 yards at deer with a 22-250 is just plain STUPID. I don't even believe they could hit a deer under field conditions with the varmit rifle. BAD BAD BAD BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUMB DUMB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Mr. Tom Gobbler
longtime replied to Browning'sCustomMeat's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Use number 5 shot and use the HEVI-SHOT brand called Hevi-13. The stuff is really expensive but it works like dynamite. No lost birds with this stuff out to 40 yards. Use the BB load as the last shot in your magazine, and in all cases shoot at the head. Good luck. longtime -
I use the bullets you are asking about, and don't have the fouling problems you speak about as long as you keep your rifle good and clean. I clean with brush and solvent, nothing special, after every 30 or so shots. As for using them on something bigger, I wouldn't do it. Use them just like any other bullet, and if you need something to kill bigger critters, GET A BIGGER RIFLE; THERE ARE NOT ANY MAGIC BULLETS OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! longtime
