what is the pin diameter?
-
I shoot this same factory rifle and it shoots better than my Weatherby Mark V ! The only modification I've done is have the xmark trigger adjusted to 2.5 lbs. and it will shoot sub moa all day. GREAT rifle! I've taken deer out to 450 yards with it so far...

Very Sweet! How did it perform?
-
which model ??

I usually order mine through budsgunshop.com or ableammo.com and have it shipped to an ffl here. Most charge $25 to transfer it for you and you're good to go. You save tax and usually get free shipping.

I believe that Dillon is for pistols and maybe .223 ...I don't really remember. Go to www.brianenos.com for the Dillon info. It is a great site for that. I have 2 Dillon 550s and a 1050, but I still use my RCBS Jr. press I've had since 1973 for all my serious rifle loads. Gives me great performance even after all these years. Like you, I like to double check everything especially for my hunting loads.

Yup... I use OOOO steel wool with a lot of oil and never have had the blueing removed. Light pressure and it should remove the rust.

+1 on the Zeiss. I have a couple and they put my Lupys to shame. I used to hunt southern AZ so I have the 6.5 - 20X (I believe...I'd have to recheck) and it really did make a huge difference. With that setup, it made a 425 yard shot just childs play! I loaded the Nosler 100 grain ballistic tip for a long time, but have more recently moved to the Barnes TTSX on top of IMR 7828. I'm getting 3600 fps out of it. IMR 4831 is a good second choice for powder.

that is just toooo funny! I do think you're on to something though! lololol

I have to +1 on the .257 Weatherby Mag. I used one for the past 15 years and have taken Javalina, Deer, and even two elk using that rifle. It has been a tack driver. I used the 100 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip very successfully however, in the climate of "lead free" I've gone to the Barnes 100 grain TTSX. It too is just a great performer! I did just buy a Remington 700 CDL in .257 Weatherby mag. last year and it is just as accurate as the Mark V has been but with a much better price tag! I agree with the point that reloading is the way to go whichever caliber you choose. I've been using an RCBS Jr. since 1973 and it still cranks out precision loads at a fraction of the cost. You can really fine tune the bullet to the rifle. And like has been stated...get a good scope for it. I personally like the Zeiss Conquest glass but that will cost just about as much as your rifle will. I made the mistake of getting a 6.5 - 20 X 40mm scope for one of my long range rifles. I should have gotten the same scope in 50mm. Following a running Javalina at 350 yards was quite a challenge. I got it but the wider field of view would have made it much easier!!

I'm moving and unfortunately need to sell my toy hauler tent trailer. It's a Starcraft 36RT. It has every option available plus a couple of adds. I added an electric lift and a full width lockable storage box. Also has a boat rack on top. Below is a link to some of the features. I'm needing about $12,500. That is well below what the sell for. I'm located in Peoria, AZ if you would like to see it. I'll try to take some pics and get them posted. Thanks for looking! http://www.rvguidebooks.com/rvguidebook/ma...SCRV06_36RT.pdf BTW... It has new tires and a new battery added 11/2010.

I have an Armalite M15A4 with a stainless barrel. I followed Armalite's break in method and while I think it's a little overkill, I can say that the accuracy is beyond compair and more importantly, it cleans up in a matter of minutes! Other ar's I have take more effort but I did not break them in properly. I used Break Free and Sweets for the cleaner/lube. Go to their web site and download the pdf on how to break in a rifle. I do think it is worth the effort!

I've been looking for something similar. How long does it take to set it up and could one person do it?

I usually find pretty good deals at www.budsgunshop.com There are several ffl's around town to send it to who charge about $25 to do the transfer paperwork. Hope that helps. I've also ordered firearms from ableammo.com as well. -
Bass Pro has a Wildgame Innoations 1.3 mp game cam for $49.94 starting 05.21 - 05.31. Just got the add in the mail today.

Last time I bought tires, I got them at www.onlinetires.com. Even with shipping, I saved over $350. I later found out that Discount will match a legit. online dealer, so you might want to do a little research and take a print out of the on-line offer and see what they will do.

Does that have the side focus? I couldn't quite tell from the pic. Thanks !

a 300 RSAUM with a Zeiss 4.5X14 Rapid Z 800 on it! I load a 125 grain Nosler @ 3600fps and a 168Barnes TTSX @ 3100fps. Pretty much covers everything for me!!

WOW ! What a beautiful rig! What does it weigh? Just curious.... I have an Armalite (certainly NOT lite) and while it's a tack driver with 69 grain Noslers, I think the whole rig comes in at a little over 14 pounds! Used it for this years pig. Did great at just under 300 yards in a 15mph wind. Just a lot to lump it up those mountains in 37A!!!
