How many coue's sheds have you found this year?

Right on dude!!! -
Glad you all like it so much, I freakin love this thing! The rack was found several years ago around Ft. Huachuca is the story that was told to me by the guy that found it. He said he was quail hunting and while following his dog around it went into a small ravine and the whole skeleton was laying there in the bottom. Wish that crap would happen to me... oh wait, it did back in April of '99 when I found a 132" gross 4pt buck buck! I hope the next big one I find is a monster Non-typical buck.

I forgot to mention that the left G-1 is 9 1/8" and the right is 7 3/8". Fantastic mass on it too. The guy I got it from said he was showing the rack to someone and they dropped it and busted the skull plate. Had it been measureable the rack would be in the top 12 or 13 in the world. Had the G-4 not been busted off it would've been in the top 4 or 5! As usual...... what if?

You weren't kidding COUESFAN when you said that's a lot of money for that rack. I got lucky and got one this summer that is nearly 30" better than that buck for the same amount, plus a cape to go with it!! That is one sweet 3 point though! Kudos to the owner for sure! He should keep it or take the $50 I'd give him for it. LOL! -

That's pretty cool Darren! -
WHAT WHAT WHO WHAT WHAT?!?!?! Post some pics on here if you can, we're dying to see this thing!! Tye, have I met you before when I was buying antlers down at San Carlos or in Globe? Your name sounds way familiar. You have a brother or relative named Tee?
-
This might sound nuts and some of you might get PO'd at me but all I see is one heck of a set of antlers! I think it's awesome that an animal can grow a set of bone like that, regardless of natural green grass or if it's genetically enhanced. To me, I appreciate them all but could care less to show up on the farm, ring the dinner bell and have the elk come running up to the end of my rifle barrel oh so conveniently placed about 3 1/2' up from the bail of hay on the ground. To me that's not hunting but to some guy/gal who defacates money on a regular basis and it's legal.... have at it. Here's some better shots of that rack. Doesn't look as big when the guys aren't 10' behind it. Still, it's a freakin BEAST. I seriously doubt it's 575" either. I can see around 500" though.

Just find a good spot that you think the deer frequents and most the general public doesn't. I mix about a half bag of rock salt into a churned up pile of dirt. Then I pour a gallon or two of water on it, preferably water thats been filtered about 20 times (you want your buck to only get the best you know) and mix it all up. Hopefully w/in a month or so they'll find it and start using it. Good luck and let us know your progress.

Just saw a picture of a bull killed there this morning by a guy I graduated HS with. Looks like a 7x8 I think, in the 380+ class. I'll hopefully green score it manana and get some pics on here for you guys.

I'd say right around 340", great bull! Short beams and 5ths but I think he's fantastic. Cool pic!
-
In my opinion I'd say that is an elk's 3rd antler. I've seen that a few times before. Cool find man!!!

HA HA HA HA HA!!! PT you're hilarious! I've been in 8 the past 2 wknds trying to arrow my 3rd unit 8 buck but to no avail. Not even a glimpse. Way to many people in the woods driving ATVs around and woodcutting to have any kind of effectiveness at all. Sat morning I sneak into an area I like to hunt and there's a Toyota truck parked about 100 yards from a tank. He had set up a ground blind w/in sight of his truck!?!?!?! Go figure. Today I had a woodcutter about a 1/2 mile from me for a couple hours then a guy in a truck parks up the hill from where I was sitting and blares his music for about an hour. The wind sucked anyway but the people were driving me nuts. Probably more glassable stuff in 6b, like missedagain said you might want to use a 30.30 and still hunt. What made you put in for that hunt anyway if you don't mind me asking? TOUGH hunt!

Dude that is BAD-ASE!! What a hog! Good luck in your quest. Hope you get more pics of him when he's hard horned too! Keep us posted!

Salt then trail camera in a couple of months. If you don't want to wait then I'd suggest just sitting in the forest where you found the sheds and wait him out.... HA HA HA!! Seriously, I'd salt him.
