Snuffer's son Chris turned me onto them last fall after shooting that deer. Shot my bull last year with the 2 blade Rage, he died in mere moments. Killed my big coues this past January with it also and it went less than 150 yards. I'll keep using them.......

Ya Alan paid him A LOT of money for that antler. I won't say how much but it'd make you want to go find the other half. If you knew Alan you wouldn't second guess him at all. He treats all of them so overly fair its crazy. I got a lot of respect for the man....... He wouldn't take advantage of anyone, even if the person was asking to be ripped off. It's funny cause now they think that any coues antler they find is worth bookoo money. Whatever keeps em lookin I guess. That's why they always bring the big ones to him.

I've bought a lot of sheds in NM and you start seeing stuff like that once you cross the White Sands and get into the Carrizozo/Tularosa areas of units 36 and 34. More-so in the Ruidoso/Mescalerso area to be more specific. Farthest east I've ever heard of a Coues was one that was killed a few years ago with a bow by a kid from Magdalena. Last name was Montoya. Those boys in that town don't see many but in the mtn's just south of town they've seen a few and that's where this particular buck was taken. From there east you've got A LOT of country across the White Sands and I've never heard of a Coues buck being anywhere east in that area mentioned above. Now an eastern buck would have to cross all those many many many miles (probably 60 miles I'm guessing) from those mtn's east of Carrizozo/Tularosa/Alamagordo and go west. Not saying it's impossible but I'm gonna doubt that shed is from a Coues buck. In fact I'd bet money it's not Coues. Beam shape isn't even close to that of a Coues antler. It looks VERY similar to the ones I've bought from the Ruidoso area. Very very nice shed though and that's my two cents for what that's worth....... Now that NT shed is AWESOME!!!!!!

Oh ya, I can imagine what 76" of mass looks like on a bull that's in full velvet. Seriously, I've always wondered how much difference there is after it sheds off. I know I got duped last year with my wt buck so I'm just wonderin....... What an awesome bull to be a 6x6 and be that big.... Can't wait for the good pics.

Ya it was two years ago that I was on him with a client but we couldn't pull it together. Closest we got was about 90 yards, he had to damned many cows. As far as I know that bull never has been killed though. I think someone in the know would have told us and we woulda seen pictures by now. I'm sure he's burpin up some delicious gut juice as we speak. Probably gonna tear up somone's trees they just planted this summer in about a month too. Stan you're a funny bastage, I love that freakin picture!!!!

What a coincidence, ol Hank called me today wondering when I'm coming thru. He wants to sell some more bone. Guess I'll have to mosey over there and do so one of these days soon. That's a good dude right there..........

My buddy Gail and I went out on Saturday and we each found 3 wt sheds. It was HOT but we still managed to pull out a few each. Here's my brown find to start the day off.... This one stayed where I found it. It was basically a shell of an antler that got charred in a fire a while back. This one I spotted from about 60-70 yards down the slope. Here's Gail's finds...... He actually found the nicest brown one and the best one of the day.

Now that's funny! Actually my wife went through all my shirts and threw the old ones and the tattered, but highly cherished, shirts away. I'm sad to say that she filed GRONG orange in the garbage without me knowing it. CAN YOU BELIEVE THE NERVE!?!?!?! Guess I gotta make an order from Amanda for a few more..........

To funny man!! I love it when someone throws in the ol "touche'", that cracks me up!! If we play it cool and color our skin a darker shade of brown we might be able to pull it off but until then we're all just gonna have to wait to see if they show up.
