Well before I'd scrolled down to your scoring I got 205 1/2 out of him. What a mother lovin HOG of a buck!!!! That is absolutely unreal! Congrats to your Dad on one heck of a buck! -

Freakin awesome, keep it comin! Good luck man! -
What a gorgeous couple of bucks! And I, like your buddy, am EXTREMELY alergic to coues deer! I try my hardest not to touch the hair for at least 20+ minutes to let the Benedryl kick in. If I don't the dander that comes off the deer swells my eyes and throat nearly shut. Tears me up bad!!!!!!! Anybody that's hunted with me can testify to that. The thing I love most in the woods nearly just shuts me down completely. It sucks but I've learned to expect it and how to deal with it. A buck on my back?!?!?! OH heck NO!

HEY LOOK DIGITAL CAMERA!!! Wow those things work great! Congrats on a gorgeous buck! The face and hide on that deer are just as pretty as the rack too. Nice job! -
A disposable camera?!?!?! WTS dude it's 2009, they make these real neat cameras that take pictures digitally and it's puts the image on a trick little memory card that you can plug into your computer to see the pics. I know it sounds crazy but it's so true!!! It's crazy.... They actually have cameras now that instead of using film inside that camera that you have to load and unload you just point, shoot and play the pics back on a magic screen on the back of the camera called a LCD screen that'll show you the picture you just took!!! It's INSANE I know, I nearly fainted 10 YEARS ago when I saw it but I'm here to tell you that it is REAL! Don't mean to bust your chops but I'm busting your chops. Disposable camera? Really!? You're tellin us you had enough money to pay for a San Carlos Indian Reservation coues whitetail buck tag and for the cost of the gas you paid to go hunt and come back home you could've had a pretty decent digital camera. REALLY! Sorry bro, it's called sarcasm and I'm layin it on pretty thick..... But really a disposable camera? WOW!!! Please tell us you didn't shoot this buck with your great grandpa's old Winchester 30.30 with just the iron sights and his old 1955 box of ammo too did you? Congrats on a freakin pig of a buck!! A DISPOSABLE CAMERA FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!!!!! GOOD LORD MAN DID I MENTION IT'S 2009!?!?!?!?!?! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

OH THAT IS JUST FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what the H any of you are talking about. If anything comes from me it's a forward of a forward of a forward..... I'm about the 50th sick puppy in line to get that stuff by the time the "Stan" fella sees them.
-
Don't make them all paranoid now Donny. At least they made an effort to hide the background. I've seen plenty of posts on this site where you can see behind the hunters for MILES and that only hurts themselves. Great bucks guys!

I don't even own a cell phone and who is Stan?

Deer and ELK?
GRONG replied to willhunt4coues's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I've hunted bears over there and saw quite a few elk actually. Some at the base of the Grahams and quite a big herd by Bar X canyon I think the name was. Saw a nice 6x7 bull out in the flats bugling. Blew my mind!! -
WOW! What a great read! Got me all excited for January. Dude that is just to awesome, CONGRATS!!!!
-
Right on Donny!

Well welcome welcome sir Don of the S.S. Trap-em-and-stack-em!! Ya you'll have to go to the "Whats in a name" thread from a year or two ago and read up on how all of us got our nicknames. I'm curious about yours as well... Is it a phallic reference or did you run cattle as a youngin'? From the sounds of things Gail says you and your bro really need to come to Mexico with us next time. I bet that'd be a blast! Sell some of those antlers on your fence and you'd have the money to go with us next time.... LMBO!! And to everyone else, thanks for all the kind comments, Gail and I appreciate them all. Wish I was still down there dangit.

HOUSTON!!! That is awesome man!!! Congrats

Oh, Jim that thumb-hole stock was the most comfortable gun I've ever held. It felt so natural. It's my dream gun for sure!

Come on Josh, err I mean Antlerboy, you post up teaser pics of your deer and you're surprised that people wanted to see the rest of your trophies (ie the antlers)? Ease up my friend! I enjoyed the scenery pics as much as anything, but you know you were trying to stir people up about the 'money shots' and you enjoyed all the attention you got . At any rate, congrats on a couple phenomenal bucks. The tine length and character of that first buck is awesome. I really like the gnarled look they have to them. And that 2nd buck speaks for itself man, freaking awesome. You came home with 2 bucks that anyone would kill for. Congrats man, you deserve it. And by the way, the scenery shots were ok Kevin I wasn't trying to act holier than thou by any means by my prior comments it just struck me as odd that not one person responded to the mountain pics. You can ask Jim or Gail, the entire 7 days we drove and hunted around the ranch I kept saying, "LOOK AT THAT CHUNK OF COUNTRY, it looks AWESOME!!!" I caught myself saying that over and over and I couldn't get enough of it. And yes, I LOVED jerking you guys around by not posting the pics and just the teaser pics. Non of the bucks were monsters by any means so I hope you all weren't let down by seeing bucks less than 110". Jim says you gotta pass those 110" bucks to shoot a monster and I'll have to take his word for it but I'm not sure I could pass on one right now. I think Jim was kinda shocked by Gail and I passing on 3 or 4 100-105" bucks on the last day but neither of us really wanted it to end I think. To much fun watching bucks spar and interact with each other Here a doe walked into danger territory without realizing it. There's two young lions laying in the rocks about 15 yards in front of her. She stared that way for probably 20 minutes then got out of there. Lions never knew she was there. One more pic of the whole crew. Steve Shooks, Jim Reynolds, Gail Herrick and myself

Never thought of incorporating it into a mount but your right! Maybe next time I'm in there I'll see if I can find it again.
