Aw heck if anyone wants to go but can't fork out the cash right now I take credit cards thru my business. That way you can just pay back your CC company over the course of the year and remember what fun you had on the trip with all of us!!! Phil Cramer and my buddy Gail Herrick are a couple others that are going as well. Now thats a heck of an offer and I KNOW there's a couple of you guys out there that could do something like that. heck, use your Cabelas card and earn point at the same time for huntin gear. Do I have to be the brainiac here or what?!?!?!

GRONG replied to Michael1's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Don't mean to correct you but the wilderness you're talking about is the Cedar Bench Wilderness. The PM Wilderness is a few miles south of the southern boundary of the CBW across the Verde Rim. Have a great hunt and keep us posted on all your coues ventures. -
Just got my mount back of the buck I shot a couple years ago with my rifle that I had a fairly long history with. Very very proud to have him on the wall after Marc Plunkett did a fantastic job on the taxidermy! Marc's is here in Camp Verde. PM me for more info. Started getting pics of him in 05 but for some reason can't find which folder in my computer they're in. Sept 06 Back in January of 07 Summer 07 Oct 07 Nov 6th 07

Man that is just incredible!! Love the story too! A huge congrats!! I'm sure Clay at Mogollon taxidermy is good but I would also suggest Dan Lee, who did my lion, and Marc Plunkett. Couldn't go wrong with any of them!

WAY TO GO JIM & CO!!!!!!!!! WAHOO!!! -
Hey thanks guys, a lot of hard work and hours went into hunting that dude. Wish I coulda got him with my bow but couldn't pass at the chance when gun season came around. 104 5/8 is what he grossed and yes I found 2 sheds off of him. One of the pics is my avatar but here they are. Glassed this shed up just as you see here, about 6' up in an oak tree, the evening before I shot the buck. But the best of all as some of you may remember, is of my son and the first shed he ever found. It's off this buck from a year or two prior to me ever getting pics of him. I actually pulled off a road to park the quad and nearly drove on top of it. Told Isaac to get off and look for any antlers. He walked around the front of the quad and said "ANTLER!!" Aw yeah..........

Way to go Wes!!! What a pig of a deer. When we gonna get to see the good pictures cause that phone picture just ain't cuttin it buddy!

Got my '98 archery lion back just the other day and what an outstanding job Dan Lee did. Had the hide tanned after I'd killed it but never did anything till recently with it. Dan said the hide was still good so here it is..... In my humble opinion it's one of the best lion mounts I've ever seen!! Here's a short video from back in the day when I shot it. http://rimrock-outfitters.com/images/joshslion.mov

WOWEE WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're worried about score!!?! SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mike and thanks to all who commented. All the kudos go to Dan for such a good job on my lion! I'm not sure what Dan charges for his lifesize mounts like this one. Dan came to me 3 yrs ago and wanted some really big coues heads in trade for some work and said OH HELLS YES! I've seen some of the work that other guys have posted on here of their lions and I knew Dan stood out way above all of them. Some guys look like they threw a lion mount and rock art with it all together in a matter of a couple days. Dan spent a TON of time on my mount and it shows! Thanks Dan. My lion weighed over 130 lbs and scored just under 14". The elk shed at the base belongs to a friend of mine. He found it back in 04 and it measures 224" non-typical which makes it the 2nd largest shed antler in the world!! I'm lucky to have it here at my house! Definitely not the bull you think you shot at last year my friend. Oh and that Oneida ROCKED!!!! heck it still rocks!!! It's my back-up bow. Love that dang thing!

How to stop (or decrease) trail camera theft.
GRONG replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Oh dude you truly have a way with words!!!!! Cracked me up man even though I know it's a dang serious matter. Why don't you get to work on all the things you talked about doing on trail cameras? Seems as if there's a need for that kind of crap since there's so many morons out there. Sorry for your loss bro. -
Mike you know I've been buying antlers for years and years. I'm in Flagstaff every Tuesday and am still buying plenty of antler. Ya it's true, market is down this year but actually it's the craft antler market that is what's taken a big stinky dump. Asian market is still going good though as that's the only true market for 99.9% of all antler found and bought.
