That is one of the best pictures I have seen in a long time. Congratulations on a beautiful bird.

Coyote hunting within city limits
Pine Donkey replied to gotcoues's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
I have heard of people killing them with subsonic .22's. If you have never shot them, they pack a whalup out to about 40 or 50 yards and they are quiet enough not to alarm the neighbors. Good luck, but you may not want to post your results, however, I would love to read an informative PM. -
My dad and his friend (dad of mcelk) each drew Nov bull tags in unit 1.

The streak continues! Good luck with the bull tag TJ. Did you put in for an elk tag? You can share my camp any day. TJ No tags for us, but I do have friends to tag along with in September and October, but nothing yet for November so I may be looking for another hunt to tag along on.

Nice video. I love teaching kids to shoot. It is valuable to get them shooting things besides targets. Balloons work well so do left over pumpkins after Halloween. As they get better at finding things in the scope, switch to rocks. Pick a unique looking rock and talk them into it while you each look through binos. Once they identify the rock, have them move to the gun, find it in the scope, and "take out" the rock. This is good practice for shootin, glassing,, and giving/taking directions while directing them to the target. You will be amazed how fast things change and soon he will be talking you into a deer he has glassed up. The student will become the teacher...and you will love it. You are very fortunate to have a 10 year old son to do this with. Youth hunts and shooting trips are some of my greatest memories. No youth hunters in our clan anymore, I am now waiting on grand kids. Treasure your time together whie he is young, it passes so fast. Keep us updated on his progress.

If our youngest had been a girl she would have been named reyanna. No special meaning, just a name we liked.
-
Cool! 5 girls, you have your own basketball team.

Great to her the forth time was a charm for having a daughter. There are so many beautiful names out there, but the important thing is you and your wife choose a loving name together. Once that is done, any name will work. Best of luck to your wife and unborn daughter. I hope the pregnancy is an easy one.

You guys got my hopes up so I called my visa company hoping I had a pending transaction. Once again I am disappointed. I can't believe I ever called again. Each time I call my bank and get shot down I know how Charlie Brown feels trying to kick a football as Lucy pulls it away!!! Good Grief!

I am headed to the mountains in the morning. Plan to do some shed hunting and fishing. Has anybody been to Big Lake or Crescent Lake since the ice began breaking up? Not sure if we will catch any fish or find any browns, but I know we will have a great time with friends and family.

All good advice. Also remember to carry a side arm if you are in the southern units.

That was my first thought.

And when you think you are glassing through an area slow enough...slow down more and pick apart every bush, stump rock and clump of grass.

Beautiful buck and great mount. Congratulation!

You gotta love Rosie the Riviter! I wonder if our country will ever be that united again?

Went shed hunting and shot a lion. That's sorta like went fishing and found a winning lottery ticket. Great job, thanks for posting.
