Pine Donkey

Sometimes the coyotes in the pines are much larger, thicker, furrier and maybe even darker colored. Those our the ones you really want to shoot, just don't post the pictures!

30+ years ago while attending NAU, I had a 6B deer tag. One morning shots were fired in the next draw over and I got ready hoping something would be pushed my way. Soon a buck came hobbling through with its front leg flopping in the air. I shot it and put it down. Minutes later while standing over the deer, two guys came along, very loud, profane and ready to fight for the buck. I told them it was there's, I just put him down so he didn't get away. They immediately changed tone and were appreciative. We BSed while the hunter field dressed his buck, his buddy and I razzed him about his shooting ability. They headed for the road and I resumed my hunt. Over the years I have learned that was an illegal act as I was the one who made the killing shot, however, all of us left feeling pretty good about the situation. Maybe just ethics above law?

I just heard that the National Hurricane Center announced that the next big storm will be named 'Wildcat Offensive Line'. They are pretty sure it won't hit anything, and if it does it won't cause any damage!

I ordered one last week for a 6.5 build. 399.45 after shipping and adding a rail. Friends have used them before to build some great shooting guns. At that price I figured it's my time to give it a try.

It goes deeper than just the reintroduction costs. Next they had to pave Big Lake Road so the huggers in their Prius' could go look for wolves. Next will be a wilderness themed resort at Crosby Crossing, then a new Casino just past Winn Campground. With enough money, pavement, traffic and building they can make the area as nice as the mountains of Southern California.

I have that exact same gun. Christmas present from my grandfather when I was 10. Many dove, quail, rabbits and snakes notched into that one. Anytime I take a new kid hunting, that gun makes the trip. Great memories, thanks! correct, sir. It was a .22 over 20ga. Always thought the .357 over 12ga. would be a great combo.
