Actually none of these Bulls is a 350. This was not meant to be a trick question, but rather reinforce the idea that a 350 bull is a BIG bull. 1) scores 338. This is boosted by the 17+ inch 'extra' point on the base of his left antler. Without that point, he is a 320 bull. 2) scores 325 3) scores 326 All scores are gross, and would drop quickly when looking at net scores. Several people were on top of this, but we sure could have passed any of these off as a 350 to many people. Regardless of score, each comes with great memories of a hunt with friends and family; that can never be measured with a tape. Also, each has fed the family. If I see any of these bulls breaking clear and turning broadside this September, in unit 1, there will be a broad head in the air! Thanks to those who made guesses, hopefully it was a fun way to kill some time while we wait for the season.

That's pretty cool. -
1 and 3 were both pretty tasty and tender. 2 was skinny and tough...you can see how drawn down he was in the photo. His hind quarters were quite thin.

Here is a test. These are three Bulls we took in the last two years. Which one is a 350? 1) My 2013 Septeber Archery bull 2) Garrett's 2013 November bull 3) Chrystie's 2014 November bull Be careful, photos can be deceptive.

That is awesome. Great day for dad and girls.

A 350 bull is a big bull! A lot of very good hunters never get a 350 bull. It takes skill and luck and there is nothing average about it. I have seen several guys claiming to have a 350 bull, but they just don't. Many nice 320 class bulls have been labeled as 350's.

When I was in high school we would go into Mexico and party. Your post is almost the exact same advice we would give the new guy!

Here is a picture of Big Lake this morning. Looks like the area is covered in horn growth juice! This can't hurt my Unit 1 September archery bull tag.

I believe in an eye for an eye. Start by standing him next to a bomb that blows his legs off. After hours of agony, back over him with a car, but make sure he is not dead. Let the piece of radical s hi t suffer until he is about to lose consciousness then finish him off by shooting him in the face. Too bad there is not a way to kill him more than once.

Just one more product to make is smell like someone crapped out an Avon Lady. I agree with Lark...poop stinks, end of story. -
What a great day on the lake. Thanks for sharing.

Nice showing for our two Arizona schools! 6 of the top 25 from the Pac12 is pretty impressive also.

I was pretty worried about messing up the cape. I waited until he turned quartering torawd me so I could make a clean quick kill by shooting him just a little further back. I ran up to him, pulled him away from the blood and propped him up on my backpack. He was caped quickly and on ice that was waiting in the truck. Can't be too careful if you only get one tag every 20 years or so. Funny thing is, I thought I ruined the cape when the bullet hit. It blew out so much fur that it looked like a kid blowing in a dandelion plume. -

Lots of elk in 27. Their patterns are different than prefire. Now they do a lot of eating in what used to be heavy timber. Find trails and hang cameras for July and August. Just look for good concentration of cows, don't worry about big bulls. Pattern the cows and when things turn on, the bulls will show. Plenty of places in 27 to get away from roads. Leave your truck an hour before light and return an hour after dark. Hunt all day everyday. Get a good pair of boots, a good pack and Havlon knife...things will work out well. Good luck and post some picks.

Took my bull with G5 Striker 2 years ago. They will be on my arrows again this year.

That's a toad! Even sports an extra point on the bottom end! Great find, thanks for sharing.

If you can hear the intercom at McDonalds drive thru, you are in a good spot.

They put a paved road through the unit. Just get in your Hyundai and drive up and down the road until you see elk, then get out and shoot one. You should be done first morning. That evening go back to the same spot and shoot a wolf that is fighting with the buzzards for whatever you left behind. This can all be done from the comfort of the pavement... heck, you don't even need to get out if your house slippers.

I use the Havlon for everything anymore. Blade changing is not that difficult, and blades are cheap. The blades are cheap, about a quarter each, when bought on eBay. The outdoorsman knife is also nice, but I have not used it.

Sure, it will work...you can ride your moped at Sturgis too if you want.
