I have been working all week, and it has been killing me...have received pictures of two stud bulls and one nice 6x6 all taken in the past few days. I will be after them in the morning, sure hope there are some left!
-
I am up here now and ready to get after them...off of work all next week. I do not want to post the pictures I have because I do not have permission, but you can be sure that if I get one, pictures will be posted.

Saturday morning I was hunting a thick hilltop at 9000 foot elevation. This little guy was bouncing around amongst all the Forest debris. We were quite away from any water. Any of you know what kind of frog it is? Is he common or something special? I looked for a pink pig, but did not find one.

Stud bull!

Wicked lookin bull! Congratulations.

Sometimes guys will drive around with a rifle in the passenger seat, muzzle on the floorboard. After some time, maybe years, the crown gets a worn spot. This is enough to make you think your barrel is trash. A smith can fix this without too much work. I have seen several old ranchers 30-30 and .35 rem that shoot horrible due to the crown.

Ok you guys that work in the cell/tower industry, I need some education. I thought any tower nowadays must be a cell tower. I now understand this is not a cell tower, that leaves me with two questions. First, what is this tower for? And second, could Verizon mount their equipment on it someday?

Maybe he was baiting in elk and left the bait bucket on top of the car. Once the elk climbed up there, he shot it so that it would not scratch up the paint, and the darn thing dyed right there. This photo was taken as he drove into town to get his buddy to help him get the elk down before his wife sees it...just maybe.

Great bull, congratulations to all involved! Yesterday I stopped at the Alpine gas station for some fuel before heading down the mountain. There was a group of people telling everyone about this bull.
-
Yes that was the last one, and Unit 1 hardly has any left either...probably all be gone by the end of this season. Best chances for a quality hunt is East of there.
-
Great bull! That 3rd is bigger than some spikes.
-
Doug, I don't know how you constantly take such great pictures, but I am so glad do. Thanks for always sharing.

Well this sucks! You promised daily updates and you are bailing on your commitment on the first day. Just kidding, congratulations to you and the young man. Can't wait to read the story and see the pictures. -
I spent the weekend in 1. There were a fair amount of bugles, but not many other rutting activities. Herds of cows were run by small 6 pt bulls and included smaller bulls right in with the cows. The big boys are still solitary and quiet.
