In Jr. High a friend and I killed a rattler as we walked from the cafeteria back to the school. We cut its head off and put it in a girl's locker. My ears are still ringing from the scream she let out! We would not have been caught except that we were the only two students who were literally laying on the ground holding our stomaches because we were laughing so hard...good times.

Friday morning Thomas saw his first elk ever, Saturday morning he wrapped a tag around a nice cow. One shot, 235 yards, she only went 10 more yards.

I have watched two very sad coues kills with a 7mag shooting VLD 180s. One was a fairly small buck shot 5 times in the chest before being finished off by another gun shooting different billets. The other was a big buck that just would not die. The hunter put 7 pretty good shots in him at 250 yards before he finally dropped for good. I have also seen some nice one shot kills with the same set up. Not sure if it is a problem with the VLD or just isolated incidents, but I have no confidence in them. I have friends that are not willing to shoot anything else.
