My daughter Laurie punched her tag this evening after a nice shot from the 300mag. No that's not a steep hill...not good at editing from the cell phone.

Just proof that a man can create his own 'Good Karma' through his actions in the off season. Well done! -
Throw away anything that feels like jelly, scrape the rest as blood free as possible.

*** UPDATE*** Laurie's Deer
Pine Donkey replied to Pine Donkey's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Just a quick update on this deer. I was at a football game when she sent me the field pictures, and did not realize just how big this 2 point is. The picture does not do this deer justice. He measures 88 4/8; not a monster, but a pretty good 2-point. Here is a picture of him next to a 104 buck for comparison. -
Gotta love a girl who is as comfortable in camo as in a formal dress! Congrats on the buck.

Very nice buck. I like the unique angle of the picture.

Sometimes abandoned railroads will get you into some rote country. Also railroads always have gradual inclines.

Many times. We even have little trailers behind our bikes to carry the gear in and the deer out. Great way to get away from the roads and crowds.

I've been waiting to see who would be the first to admit that!

Another youth taking care of business, awesome!

Great story. Co Gratulation to Jay. I enjoyed meeting you at South Cove Sunday evening. Always good to meet a CWT member, share pictures of the hunt and swap the stories

Slice it about 3/8 inch thick and soak it in salt water over night. Remove for water and pat dry. Roll in seasoned flour, fry in vegetable oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Good stuff!
