Pine Donkey

So often we hear stories of frustration with Game and Fish Department personnel. Far too rarely are they given credit for good work. Last Wednesday my wife and I rushed to the Tucson office to get a pig tag for our daughter. Our trip of 80 miles took a bit longer than it should have and we were running late. We pulled into the office right after 5:00 and Chrystie ran up to the door just as they locked it. She pleeded her case and was let in. We were helped by Mrs. Alcaraz and Mrs. Duncan. On top of being late, we did not have the correct hunt number to get the tag our daughter needed. No problem, they pulled out the regs and helped us find the correct hunt number. Their version of customer service was top notch.

This is so sad. I never had the pleasure of meeting mike, but through his posts I know he was a great person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

That's some good stuff Bri. You showed the patience that many adults have not yet developed.

We have a lab who does the same thing. Best we have determined it is due to alergies. We give her Benedryl every morning and evening, it seems to help. If whe forget her meds the chewing gets much worse.

Great story. I remember years ago when we could buy leftover tags in AZ and shoot a second deer. Still far short of many of the Southeast states. I look forward to reading a post about how good the pork was.

SHe was lucky to make it, but will she have the strength to survive the winter? I also wonder about infections.
