Nice bird, great story congratulations. It is not often that the child gets to tell dad he needs to slow down and use his eyes more.

I have an 06 Chevy crew cab diesel 4x4. I tow a 30ft 5th wheel with a dry weight of 9800. The unloaded milage is right at 20mpg on the highway. It was about 18mpg for the first 25k miles, but once it was fully broken in the milage jumped. When towing it drops to about 12mpg. I can run 75-80 on the interstate without problem, but feel more comfortable at 65. I can maintaint 65 up most hills, but have not tried Sunset. I am sure the milage drops significantly on the hills, but I have not checked it seperately. A friend has a similar setup with a Dodge truck and has similar performance. One difference seems to be the smoothness and down shifting of the Allison transmission in the Chevy. Just my $.02

An interesting question for you all...

That is a pretty good tag, and you have a chance to put a beautiful animal on the wall. Next time I draw a September tag, I will not have any preset limits. I will shot when it feels right. I have passed some great bulls in search of a monster, and have eaten tag soup. It is never a filling meal. -
Amanda, nice bird, great story. It is pretty scarry that the danks you expected to hold water were dry. Could be a rough fire season.

Did you see the game today. Arizona beat an athletic and incredibly fast Memphis team. These are the two youngest (starting 5) teams in the tournament and they each have a top ten recruit coming in next year. Good chance the Cats and Tigers will meet in the tournament again in the coming years. Also, great to see a U of A favorite, Josh Pastner, do an excellent job in his second year of coaching Memphis! Go Cats!!!

It is baseball season, but it is also softball season. Personally I could not imagine a better senerio than a UA-ASU national championship game. Lets go cats and devils.

Nice post bonecollecter. Hatred and respect create some great rivalries.
-
U Conn controlled the tempo of the game and forced Arizona into a half court game. Nice game plan by calhoon. Arizona had a great season and has again put a shine on the states greatest athletic dynasty.

Coach K showed a lot of class. After the drubbing he took, he still made a point to talk to each of the cats instead of just shaking their hands after the game, pretty classy.

That is quite a collection.

Wow!!! Great game. Cats looked very good. BELIEVE BELIEVE BELIEVE

My uncle had a sizeable ranch in cochise county. The area was very popular with dirt bike and ATV riders as well as target shooters. For years he fought vandalism to windmills, tanks, corrals, Feces and livestock. Thousands of dollars and hours were spent repairing the damage, but we could never catch up. Finally our local game manager, Brad Falk approached my uncle with a new program called adopt a ranch. The group that adopted his ranch was the nomad motercycle club. Not only did they provide a great amount of free labor, they provided many vigilant eyes who helped watch over the place. The vandalism dropped to almost nothing. This program, along with access programs operated by game and fish, have opened many acres. Groups such as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation have used conservation easements to secure thousands of acres for access and preserve them for future generations. All of these programs are a way of offering the landowner an incentive to allow access to his land. One piece that is still missing is legislation requireing all lease holders of public lands to provide access to them even if it means they have to cross private lands. Beyond these steps the basic fact remains that private lands belong to the owner. They have full rights to use their lands as the wish. They should not be forced or legislated to give up their rights. Afterall, how is taking a persons property rights away much different then taking their gun rights.

I just brought home my 2010 antelope. The mount was done by Stacey Tompkinson of St. David. I have always liked his work, and this mount is no exception. This first picture was taken on the last of four scouting trips. It was taken on Sunday before the opening Friday. This next picture was taken on opening Friday, in the field about 600 yards from where the other picture was taken. And here is how he looks in the living room. It took 16 years to draw the tag and now I can't wait for this year's draw results to be posted. Hope I am not in for another 15 years of disappointment.

Cool video.

Great video...when do those draw results come out.
