Thats a pretty great day. Conratulations! -
Wow! Congratulations on three great bulls and on drawing those tags. A quick trip to Vegas may be warranted while things are going your way.

Sweet and sour 2011 archery elk hunt in unit 1
Pine Donkey replied to huntlines's topic in Elk Hunting
Great story! It is horrible that you had two bulls stolen. Slob hunters are everywhere. Congratulations to all of you on some very nice bulls! -
Ron, You sure did an outstanding job documenting your hunt, both in photo's and text. Thanks for taking all that time to share your hunt. Congratulations on a great bull!

Laws are imposed upon you, ethics come from inside. It comes down to this. Laws define what you do, Ethics define who you are.

I fell for it

Wow! Great hunt, congratulations!

Nice job on taking the cow. Some of my most memerable hunts have been cow hunts. I also learned a lot about elk while chasing the ladies.

We found several sheds on Monday in unit 3C, including this set.

WHT_MNTMAN, that is a nice bull. MJE1 and I just spent 4 days in unit 3C. We did not have a tag but just wanted to get into the woods for a few days. We chose 3C because it is a unit we have not spent any time in. We were not too impressed with the rut or the amount of elk we saw. We did not hit it too hard for fear of messing up something for a hunter. We did call in one 6x6 but he came in without making a sound. If it weren't for spotting him trotting down an open ridge we would not have known he was coming. On Monday we explored the area around Airpine. Again not too much action, but we were able to find five sheds. I will post on a picture on a different thread so as not to steal your thread. I see you are from Pinedale. As we drove into the unit we randomly turned down FR132 and camped a couple miles south of Pinedale. Before this past trip I could not have told you where it was.

Thanks for the info!

hunt4food, congratulations on your bull, and nice jobs of showing your dedication by sticking with it for 3 days.

On the surface the obvious answer is that you should not hunt anymore, but in the light of recent looong threads on this site, I wonder if this is a loaded question. Maybe the answer should be no unless you are in unit 10. No offense intended toward Today's the Day, but many of us have grown leary of new posters.
