Quality optics and quality tripod need to be considered as one unit, not seperate items. Niether one is very effective without the other. There are also a number of gunrests that mount on your tripod to make those 400 yard shots much more do-able.

U of A has a new football coach. Rich Rodrigues was an awsome coach at West Virginia, and a disaster at Michigan. What are your thoughts about him in Tucson?

Very nice bull. Congratulations.

Driving route advice needed
Pine Donkey replied to lfootmatt's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I make this trip about 12 times a year, sometimes pulling a 30 foot fifth wheel. Yesterday I pulled a utility trailer up and back, loaded both ways. The quickest way is through Mule Creek. There are a lot of tight turns, but if you pay attention to what you are doing it is not a bad route. 191 between Morenci and Alpine is one of the most beautiful routes in the state, but not the best for a trailer or for making time. The only way to avoid some of the turns is to take I10 to Lordsburg NM, then go through Silver City and up 180 into Alpine. This is 50 miles longer than the Mule Creek route. Unless you really want to see Silver City, I don't think the extra miles are justified. As a side not, whenever we send school buses to Alpine, Eagar, St. Johns etc. we always send them through Mule Creek. We have never had a problem with it. -
Hey! Hey! Hey! Amanda are you trying to hijack this thread? The topic is Hula video, not goats and turkeys!

Very Nice non typical Coues

WOW, great deer! Unit 34B has not produced too many of those toads in the past few years. Maybe better times are coming. Congratulations on taking a great deer. -
Three years in a row these two teams have played great games that were decided in the last seconds. Each side can talk all the crap they want, two facts are undisputable: 1) The Wildcats football team is pathetic this year, they have played without logic, leadership, inspiration or heart. 2)They were better than the Devels tonight. ASU's season this year seems to mirror U of A's season last year. Last year the Cats came out hard, strung together a bunch of wins and earned bowl eligibility early, then they rolled over and died. Last year was "their year" because they had a bunch of seniors, but in the end they could not produce. It resulted in the firing of the head coach. This year is ASU's year. They are going to a bowl, but have lost their last three games. Next week they face a Cal team who has been playing pretty in the past few weeks. Cal won two of their last three games, with the only loss coming today to Stanford 31-28. If ASU does not win one or two more games this year, Dennis Erikson will be competing with Mike Stoops for a new job.
