    Can you see it?

A buddy that works for SRP sent me these pics of the transformer fire in east Mesa. I spotted the sticker before noticing the smoke Is that an obsesion or what?! Not sure who's truck it is.
  5. Yup, great guy, good customer service. It's good to see he is still in buisiness after all these years.
  6. Need some advice. I bought a lightly used Matthews Drenalin last year. Lately, the first couple times I draw the bow, it makes a creaking noise. After 5 or 6 draws, it seems to quiet down. This is not a good problem to have in a hunting situation, as you can imagine. Is there a common lube point (cam axels)? And what is used? Thanks for any input.
  7. Just wanted to follow up on the creaking issue. I took it to Robert Campos at Broken Arrow in AJ. He put it in the bow press and lubed the limb pocket bushings with lithium greese. That fixed it. I still hear a very faint noise sometimes, just as I hit full draw. This may be something else, i.e., wheels or cable roller. We discovered excess wear of the string where it breaks over the cam, so I ordered a Winner's Choice string. We will fix all the noises when the string is replaced in a couple weeks. I don't want to take any chances since I have a bull tag this Sept. Thanks for your input.

    Trail cams for SALE

Are they IR? What type of batteries?
  9. I had the same problem when i baught my drenalin new.I had people listen for the noise as i drew it back and we narrowed it down to the limb pocket bushing,i just lightly lubricated them and the noise went away. sorry cant remember what i used but i was on an elk hunt so supplies where limited. Thanks! I'll try that first.
  10. Thanks for your advice! I will take it to Archery Headquarters and have them take a look. At least now I can appear to know what something about my bow
  11. I have the Alaknak 12x12...love it! I can set it up myself. Everything...tent, roof protector, floor protector, poles, ropes, stakes, weighs around 75 lbs. It is very weather/wind proof. The stove that I got with it is OK, but not airtight like a cylinder stove. It easily sleeps 3 with the stove, 2 is more comfortable. I usually use a propane heater, as the stove will blow you out of there. Temps need to be below 40. I like the center pole. I bought the hangers that attach to the pole, for hanging clothes to dry, or hang a lantern, or....makes a good dance pole for the wife/girlfriend I also have the vestibule. That adds a bunch more space for gear, table, whatever. The only negative is...a lot of stake pounding. Canvas is nice, but much heavier, much more $$, and usually no floor. The "mildew" smell bothers my sinuses. It's a matter of choice.

    2011 elk/Antelope tags

September archery bull in 4B, 2nd choice....WooHooo!! My last bull tag was drawn in 2001.
  13. I am selling my '98 Coleman Westlake Tent trailer. We have been pulling the quads/trailer when camping and trying to travel light...so we have gone back to the tent. We haven't used the tent trailer in over a year, so decided to sell it. It is 16' closed and 25' open. It has the 6" lift baja kit. King bed on each end, toilet, shower (inside and out), stove (can be moved outside), small fridge (AC/DC/gas), water heater, 20 gal water tank, dining table can make a bed, good awning with screen room (good protection from the bees). Tires were new a year ago and kept covered. Trailer has always been kept under a pipe/tarp canopy, so all plastic is in good shape. As a whole it is in good condition with normal wear. All canvas/material/flooring is perfect. The only thing that does not work is the fridge pilot won't stay lit (probably the regulator)but works fine AC/DC, and the battery is shot. A few minor repairs have been done over the years, which I can discuss if interested. $2800. Please PM if interested. Thanks, Brad
  14. hey i member this trailer haha was out lookin for some pigs for my buddy. i thought it looked good for a pop out trailer FYI for anyone looking for a pop-up. This looks like a VERY good deal to me! I sold a 1990 pop-up for not much less than this a year ago, and this one seems in much better shape then the one I got rid of. S. Uhhh....maybe I should ask for more $$ ?!
  15. hey i member this trailer haha was out lookin for some pigs for my buddy. i thought it looked good for a pop out trailer Really...I don't remember. Where were we at? Did we meet?
  16. Yes I do. I live in east Mesa and work in west Chanler. Is either of these convenient to meet? Please PM for my phone # Brad
  17. This add can be removed...all items sold I bought a lightly used Drenelin from a friend who just had shoulder surgery and is giving up archery. I had to change the cam and arrows to fit my draw length. So, I am selling the original cam. The cam is 27" R-hand, 80% let off, no scratches or nicks....$40. The whole setup was barely used...I don't think he ever killed anything with it. He takes good care of his equipment. I will post on craigslist as well. I prefer FTF but can ship if it is necessary. Thanks, Brad P.S. Thanks to azaflacguy for buying the arrows. We met last night....nice guy.

    Badlands Bino Harness

This bino system is great! It keeps the dirt and weather off your binos....real nice when riding a quad or bustin' brush. It has handy pockets inside for cleaning stuff and straps on the sides for hanging a radio/range finder. The magnetic closure is real nice. My Leica Trinovid 12x50's just fit. The tight dimension is the length. I don't know what they measure, but if you look up the specs on the Leicas you can get the length as a reference. This works well for the heavy Trinovids. The elastic type bino-buddys are a real pain. I believe this bino system is still $60 new, but you have to pay tax and you don't get the water bladder. This is a great bino harness and well worth $60.

    Matthews Drenalin....question

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply! I also had a couple PM's offering advice. I will call Ross Outdoors tomorrow to see what they can do. I checked out Archery talk....wow...quite a large following. This may be a good resource too. I prefer to do business locally, FTF and avoid the hassles of shipping, PayPal, etc... but this is a good option. Thanks!
  20. I have been a member of CW for a year or so. I check out the classifieds often and read the forum topics as well....just don't chime in much. I value the input/opinions of the CW regulars....so I come to you for your opinion. I have the opportunity to buy (from a friend) a Matthews Drenalin (2 years old) complete outfit, including two-dozen arrows, G5 broadheads, hard case, etc... The problem is, it is a 27" draw and I need 28.5". So I would need to buy a new cam ($92 from Archery Headquarters) and new arrows. I am OK with doing this, but this "good deal" goes up in price by $200+ My question is: How easy would it be to sell the 27" cam and 24 Blackhawk Vapor carbon arrows (27.25" knock to insert)? If I could sell these, I could justify the extra cost. Cams seem to be hard to find, used/new, on the web. Anyone interested in these items? Thanks in advance for your input.

    Cabelas Ultimate Alaknak Tent

I bought my Alaknak 12x12 tent in 2005, when I visited the Cabelas in Sidney, Nebraska. I have not regretted it one bit. It's a great tent!! I have camped in it for 2 weeks at a time during elk season, using the wood stove every night. Also, used it 5 days during turkey season a couple years ago, when it was ~12 degrees at night. I have not experienced any condensation problems at all.....cold, warm, rain. I think the reviews that mention condensation are probably from a more humid climate. Usually not an issue in AZ. A good heat source will drive out the moisture which may cause condensation. The stove that comes with it is OK, but not air-tight. Until you get used to the operation, you will put smoke in the tent. I can set up/take down by myself. It's a lot of stake pounding, so not feesable for one or two nights. How did it go on the turkey hunt? Did you use the tent?

  24. I'm selling my Nikon Prostaff Realtree Spotting Scope. I just bought a Zeiss. I bought the Nikon one year ago and used it twice last deer season. It is in perfect condition with all documentation/warranty/packing. It includes the 16-48x65 eyepiece and cordura view-through protective wrap. I paid $460 (including tax). $375 or best reasonable offer. Tripod not included. I've had several inquiries from craigslist, but not serious enough to make the drive.
