Good price! Great RF!

My wife could sure use some help. She is not a hunter, but we still get along. Do you have any experience with type 2 diabetes? She does pretty good with diet, but could be better. A meal plan would really help I think. If we can get good results and good consultation, we would be willing to pay. Thanks in advance!

Very nice! I have the same dilemma. The 65mm is a good all around size scope, but it depends on how much weight you are willing to pack. If the scope will stay in the truck/ATV, then I would get the larger 85mm. Personally, I like a lighter pack, so my 65mm often stays behind. I am looking at the Vortex Razor 50mm for packing in.

I bought a used Zeiss 65mm 4 or 5 years ago. No regrets. It's light enough to carry in a pack if you're hiking in....but is usually left behind. I have a doubler for my binos that works pretty good, if the conditions are right. I think it's been said in other posts...spend the money on really good binos first, then get the spotter. A lot of times you can see enough detail with GOOD 12's or 15's to know that's the animal you want to go after without the use of a spotter. If you want a spotter, it needs to be a GOOD one. The cheaper ones will only frustrate you due to low light, heat waves, glare, etc... I had a Nikon Prostaff I tried to use for one season, then sold it and bought the Zeiss....night and day difference. You will also need a good, sturdy tripod, otherwise the image will be shaking too bad to see detail. Oh...and then you'll start shopping for a digiscoping setup....

Good luck. I've been waiting for a reply since Friday.

It's an "assault" knife!! I about cut the tip of my finger off last season while quartering my deer....extremely sharp!

You can make a darn good/large cooler with a tarp and old sleeping bags....just add ice. This will buy you a couple days. Good for transport too.

How old is it and how many hours?

Here is the link to the manual: http://www.mymowerparts.com/pdf/Arctic-Cat-ATV-Repair-and-Service-Manuals/Arctic-Cat-2005-Service-Manual/ There is a "start here" section. That is the table of contents. You can click on a section and it will open it, instead of scrolling the entire manual.

I also have two 2005 AC 500 quads. Mine are rear tank, vacuum pump. I had a problem with one of them last year, after leaving gas set too long. But it would idle fine, but cut out under power. I drained the tank and replaced the fuel/vacuum pump first, since it was easy to get to...under the seat. Didn't fix the problem. I rebuilt the carb and that fixed it. Most likely you will need to rebuild the carb. It is pretty simple. You can get the kit from Bass Pro. Several years ago I downloaded the service manual, and that is a big help. I googled it and found it on a small engine/lawnmower repair shop website...if I recall correctly. I would post it, but the whole thing is over 250Mbs.

I just did a little research on the Sawyer...I hadn't heard of it before. It seems too good/easy to be true. Is it all it is advertised to be? Is it hard to suck water through it? I imagine you have to start with pretty clean water...very little sediment?

Going from 15x58 to 12x50. Will I regret it?

I've never had 15's....my buddy does. I have always used 12's. First Pentax, now Leicas. They are lighter and smaller than 15's, with a bit more magnification than 10's. I mostly use them on a tripod, but still can free-hand...especially on top of a walkin' stick. For short hikes, I carry a 65mm spotter, but when I go deep, I carry a doubler. Besides, my buddy has the 15's if I need the extra magnification -
I have way too many mollys for a 20 gallon tank and need to thin the herd. They have multiplied rapidly. I have around 30 to give away for free. Black, dalmatian, silver (white), sailfin. All sizes from newborn to large.

I posted them on craigslist too. Lately I've been thinking a lot about prepping and I started looking at this fish problem in a different way....maybe a sustainable resource ;-)

I am not familiar with these tarp/tipi floorless setups. Is it comfortable to go floorless in AZ? How do you keep an inflatable sleeping pad from puncture? Any problems with spiders/scorpions/mosquitoes/gnats? It seems like a great setup...light, compact. It seems to be a great deal. I checked prices....$570 if bought new.

I did a day trip last year around this time. We hiked in from the west side, about 1/3 way back from the lake...I'm guessing. We were the only ones there the whole day. Fished about a mile upstream and back. Caught a few nice rainbows. The hike out was killer. Ran across 4 black-tail rattlers within that span. Next time, I will wear snake guards.

My buddy got drawn for 5B-S early Nov. archery bull. He asked me to post for advice/tips/tactics on this hunt. We have hunted 5B-S for early archery bull for many years and taken many bulls/cows from our favorite area, which is near FR211. However, this November hunt is a whole different game.....since the bulls are not bugling. Any advice, tactics, experience on this particular hunt is appreciated. Is it hard to find the elk this time of year? Should we expect the elk to be further north, into the junipers? or is this based on weather? The bulls should be separated from the cows...right? Where we hunt in September is not very conducive to glassing. Is it more effective to glass more open country? Thanks in advance!

Congrats! Great job! It is quite an accomplishment taking a deer, of any size, with a bow...let alone, on your own. I love to see young people, especially young women take to hunting. I think it gives them a better perspective on life...and death, and more confidence to face life's challenges. Way to go!
