Holy smokes!! Great bull! That is definately a wall hanger, especially for a first bull. He can always mount it later. Capes are easy enough to come by.

I love the fit, comfort, support....and price of the Cabelas/Meindle Perfekt Hiker. Just bought my 2nd pair. I tried on the Kenetreks, but the arch support dug into my foot.

Thats a real bummer. Someone must of known what they were looking at, and the value.

I have the Havalon and Outdoor Edge. I've used both on animals. I broke a few Havalon blades on one deer. I prefer the Outdoor Edge. It is more sturdy and stout for all around use. No broken blades on last deer....about took off the end of my finger though. Both have blades that are scalpel sharp. The OE is easier/safer to change blades. Eastman's is still offering the OE free with subscription....can't go wrong.

Great shotgun! I have the same one, from the mid-70's.

I've had the chain take hits and break. I use convair belt wrapped over the top bar and bolted to the plate. It can take hundreds of hits.

My buddy had his treestand, ladder and trail cam stolen last year from 5B-S. We've hunted this area for 20 years and this was the first incodent. Five or so years ago the FS hung notes on our ladders stating regs regarding leaving equipment in the forest but nothing taken. My buddy checked with FS and they claimed they didn't take his stuff.

I tried it on the rim. You think those roads are flat until you're on a bike. At 7000' you breath pretty hard...and get plenty sweaty. You also have to consider your pack and bow/rifle. I had a guy in 4A ride up on me twice during a turkey setup in the Turkey-Beaver Wildlife area. Ruined both setups. Second time, I got pretty pissed. His method was quiet, but came in a little too fast.

yup, thats what I run, but an old version. I dont see the need to run a heater all night. Just pack a good bag. Nothing beats wood heat when its really cold.

I've never tried the Buddy heaters. Seemed they had problems early on....some years ago. I use an old blaster type that threads to a large tank. It heats up a tent in a hurry. I turn it on before bed, shut it off at night. Turn it on in the morning to take the chill off. Always keep the tent vented. if it's real cold, I take my Alaknak tent with wood stove.

It's that time of year! Those buggers tear me up! I was in 22 last weekend...no bugs yet.

Is the jacket down insulation, or the Toray synthetic insulation? I'm not sure how the large will fit. I am 6' 170 lbs with about a 40" chest. Some larges are a bit big.

Perhaps we should be invited to the next party so we can try it out in person

What is the length of the cargo area? ...and the height under the bed? In other words, will a Ranger XP fit under the bed without airing down? Currently, I have two quads, but may exchange for a ranger. My two quads are 14' end to end.
