Me too. I love maps, especially topo maps and Google Earth. I do a ton of scouting on my PC.
-
I've guided a lot of youth/newbies on their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd hunt and had a ball. No pressure....they are thrilled just to be hunting. No money can replace the reward of a youth's excitement....and knowing you got another newby hooked for life. For a business, I think I'd rather be a camp outfitter than a guide. I have a servant's heart and love providing a comfortable camp, cooking, retrieving/skinning game, etc. If the hunter needs advice or help glassing, I'm there, but not responsible for finding a trophy. I love that part of it too but the pressure may take the fun out of it.

That's what I did with mine. I sprayed it down pretty heavy...no leaks. The only negative IMO is the awning. It's OK for shade, but worthless for rain. If rain is expected, I setup a popup canopy at the front door and tie the awning up underneath the canopy.

What torso length does this fit? Does the L/XL belt fit a 35" waiste? Why are you selling?
-
What makes it a "long range" model? It looks to be the same size/height as my Optics model. They are great packs, and this one looks to be in great shape.

You can find Apache Tears in the abandoned pits east of Picket Post and SW of Superior. Check Google Earth...you can't miss it. They are easy to dig up and easy to find, once you get the hang of it. On the Rim you can find large petrified shells, about golf ball size. Like mollusk or similar.

Pending New Record Archery Coues

WOW!! Beautiful buck! -
+1 for Badlands. If you ride a quad or UTV, dust is a concern...get a fully enclosed unit. It is a little bulky on the chest, but not bad. I have Leica Trinovid 12x50 in mine and still have room inside for lens pen, lens cleaning pads, license, small map, etc...

Family, Friends & First Timers-13 pigs taken this season

Awesome! That's a heap of fun! -
So...the 3M filters are no good? I run the one in the red package. I think it's their mid-performance filter....about $10 each. What is really irritating is the markup on parts.

Man! It looks like that pack could tell some stories! -
Is the dump bed disabled with the full cage?

Man! I can't believe this stuff hasn't sold. Great prices on great tech clothing. I have the Chama hoody and love it. I would consider buying this piece but I'm at the upper end of the medium range on the sizing chart. I think a large is better for me for layering.

Very cool!! That is the way to do it.

First Lite is very limited on sizes.

exercise to help strengthen muscles for drawing bow?
Viper replied to Tac's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
You can simulate pulling a bow with the weighted cable machine at the gym, or with the exercise rubber bands you can use at home. Work both arms or you will get lopsided....one lat bigger than the other. -
I am still in the "buying points" phase. I bought my first point last year. I am not quite able to make the trip yet. Maybe in the next couple years.

I used some old cedar fencing, 3 slats high and reinforced the sideswith rebar stakes. Then filled with a sandy loam mix from Pioneer Materials....about 1/3 the cost of bag stuff from Home Depot. Just finished planting today. Tomatoe, strawberries, mellon, green beans, bell pepper, carrots, beets, sweet onion, garlic, lettuce...
-
I just finished three raised beds...6x3x12" deep. We were just talking about what we will plant today or tomorrow. Definitely tomatoes and green beans. We have been harvesting lettuce, kale, spinich, and some tomatoes most of the winter.

How many inches of antler can a coues buck put on in one year?
Viper replied to Pixman's topic in The Campfire
That is an incredible buck! The others in the calendar are very nice as well. It was nice to meet you and thanks for a very well done calendar! -
What's the catch? Do you have to have a native guide. There's gotta be a catch or everyone would be doing it.

I've always been a fan of 12's. IMO, good all around power. I got a great deal on Leica 12x50 Trinovids 10 years ago. I still smile everytime I sit behind them. Honestly, I've never used 15's but my buddy has them and I find as much game as he does. I've had to send them back to Leica once for a focus issue. It was free due to the VIP warranty offered 10 years ago. I understand they are pretty stingy with that now. I've read that folks had to pay a nominal fee for repairs. Swaro and Vortex warranty is probably better. People seem to like Vortex...but seems to be a path to a future upgrade to Swaros. You may still want a small spotter for more detail. I have a Zeiss 65mm, but don't like packing it in the hills. I am considering a 50mm Vortex Razor for that.

Most likely shot off. Sadly, I hear stories of it every season. Good to know they can survive it.
