Our long time insurance company is phasing out home owners insurance (American National). It expires May 23rd. Any suggestions/experience on who to go with? My main consideration is cost and customer service/claim efficiency. I live in east Mesa, if that matters. I am willing to go with a second company for ATV/RV coverage, if it saves money. A Google search shows some ratings, but probably pretty subjective. Open to suggestions/experience. Thanks.

I better not let my wife see this. We are on our 3rd consecutive Golden. Great breed! -

I use the expandable wheel chocks, like Matt described, and the diy 2x4 stabilizers: Makes my 5th-wheel rock solid.

I have an opportunity to go on my nephew's Idaho backpack bear hunt in a few weeks. I will fly to Seattle to start our trip. Question is, what is the best way to travel with a large backpack with gear? I have a Kuiu 5200 and typical backpacking gear. Not sure I want to check it as baggage. May get all beat up, broken straps/buckles... Is it too big to be a carry on? Maybe break it down and pack in a suitcase? Definitely would want to "carry on" my binos and spotting scope. How do you all do it? Thoughts? Thanks

May be a long shot. I put a Viper HS-T scope on a friend's rifle and we need more shims to set the zero stop. Not sure how many, but the turret turns nearly a full rotation past zero. Apparently they are no longer available from Vortex or vendors. Anyone have spares I can purchase? Preferably in the east valley.

I have an old, small deer hide with hair on that is "end of life"...you can have. I'm in Mesa.

Wow! Great story! Congrats to the young man and all involved. He has got a good start early in life to pursue a ram slam.

What is the axle to axle measurement on that bow?

Agree! Probably still have to provide proof of active service and deployment.

I'd like to, but I'm kinda confused.

Hmm...I PM'd with him and said I'd buy it. He said someone is picking it up tomorrow.

Mounting a Vortex Viper HST 4-16x44 on a friend's Savage Axis, using 30mm Talley rings (no rail). I'm thinking medium height. Any experience with this setup?

I have one I can let go. It's a little shot up but not bad. Still plenty of life in it. I can send a picture if you're interested. I'm in east Mesa.

Not sure of your location. I am in east Mesa and I have a stall mat you can have for free. It's 4 feet wide, maybe 6 feet long, not sure. It's got a partial tear in the middle but should work fine for a backstop.

Check out Small Rig. It ranked high in a head to head review with many others. I bought the CH10. I am very impressed with it. It is $50. https://www.smallrig.com/SmallRig-Video-Head-CH10-3259B.html

Progressive Reloader for pistol calibers??
Viper replied to azhuntnut's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I went the less expensive route with a Lee Classic Turret press. It's not as fast as a Dillon but a lot faster than a single stage. -
Yeah, I've been buying points with the hope to go someday and draw a decent unit...not holding my breath for a AZ tag. My brother in Indiana is buying points too, so it's a double logistics thing. And it's a long drive. Maybe I'd be better off buying a landowner tag in NM? 🤔

How much is the trespass fee? I have 7 points and 5 muley points. Hoping to go in the next couple years. Trying to figure out how the system works.

Both are great bucks! That bigger one is a tank! Congrats to you both. Good on you dad for letting your son shoot the big one. Wow, not sure you'll ever top it.
