It is difficult to find a processor in the Payson area. Not sure why, other than a couple small operations that max out quickly and can't take any more.

There was a white, more piebald, muley doe in 22, close to Hwy 87. Haven't seen it in a while. The WT buck I shot last season had some piebald on it's chest and legs.

"One suggestion would be zipp off legs" I like zip-offs. The only ones I can find heavy enough to withstand the brush and sorta protect the legs are Red Head from Bass Pro....but they're cotton. I usually leave them unzipped half way around to dump heat. Kuiu should consider this. I would like to try the Tiburons, I have the Attacks and they are a little warm when it's 80 degrees +.

That's a cool experience for your son. Some of my best outdoors experiences with my sons, when they were young, was being hunkered on the ground with bulls/cows in close. My 32 year old son still talks about that.

Looks good. I did my ar15 like that, using small and large size netting. Gave it a kind of "kryptec" look. Use flat clear coat as last coat to protect it from scratching and rubbing off.

Big Bo has a website. I think it explains all that. I've never been there, a friend is there now for antelope.

I had a Leupold RX1000 TBR. A couple digital segments faded out. I sent it in and they sent me back a brand new RX1200 TBR! I love that RF.

Holy smokes!!! Looks like a giant red stag! -
I may be helping a friend on this hunt. I don't know unit 10 at all...he does a little. He's done some scouting. I am wondering what can be expected on this hunt? Pressure? Odds of getting a decent buck?...just a good representative buck. Competition with other hunters/guides? I appreciate any info. Thanks

Thought I'd pass this on: Just saw this email this morning. Looks like 20% off everything, right now. They have Swaro 12x50 EL's for $2300 (all other brands too). Is this a good price? https://www.eagleoptics.com/collections/binoculars/products/swarovski-el-12x50-binocular Dear Eagle Optics Customers and Partners, Eagle Optics has been a sport optics retailer for over 30 years, and has evolved through many big changes. Whether these changes have been in the birding community, in sport optics design, or in the overall marketplace, Eagle Optics has always approached these changes with the customers’ best interest first in mind. In recent years though, it has become ever more challenging to run a specialized sport optics business in the online landscape. With that in mind, the Eagle Optics owners and staff have decided to cease all business operations on Dec 31, 2017. As always, Eagle Optics recognizes that without our customers and partners, we could not have been successful in our support of the birding community and bird conservation these many years. We want to thank you and are eternally grateful for the relationships, partnerships, and community we have built together. As part of ceasing business operations, we are offering exciting sales opportunities. Please visit www.eagleoptics.com for these sales, or call us at 1-800-289-1132. I'm not familiar with these new smart TVs, especially 3D. Can you view regular HD format programs, or do they have to be 3D? I'm assuming you can, just 3D capable, right?

The good thing about natural built blinds is you can build two or three around the waterhole/wallow/trail and pick the best one at the time based on wind direction...which is a big deal when sitting on the ground. The risk is, someone may be in it when you show up. The good thing about a pop up blind, it can contain some of your scent, hide movement, but visibility is limited and it may not be there when you show up. Also, with a single pop up, you can't play the wind. If you have the patience, sitting a natural blind can be a great experience...you are more connected to nature/your prey. Tree stands are probably the most effective, but take more preparation and planning. We usually chase bugles all morning and set tree stands/blinds in the evening...gives you a chance to rest up.

This is what I use with my Samsung S7. I scroll through my pics just to check them out while I have a snack. I swap cards and bring it home for download. I use it on my laptop to download as well. I got it at Sportsmans for $8. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Stealth-Cam-Memory-Card-Viewer-for-Android/2205702.uts?productVariantId=4513125&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=04377372&rid=20&gclid=CjwKCAjwxJnNBRAMEiwA8X_-QeFIKuHVYGuSrUGzOJSiFPPlf7cGg3awlREkcoBOp9bB5bz5sG0nLhoCbGMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I have a Zodi...larger model. It fits across a double burner Coleman stove. It has copper tubing coiled inside the housing the water runs through. The pump was D-battery operated, but didn't have enough power to push an adequate flow up over 6 feet. So I use a RV pump with alligator clips to a 12v RV battery...very good pressure. It's great because you can turn off the head and the backpressure stops the pump...so you can regulate how much water you use. Only one PROBLEM. When the water stops flowing through the heater coils, pressure builds up and will blow off a hose. So now I recirculate 3 or 4 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket until it is the desired temperature, then turn off the stove. Takes about 15 minutes to heat up a few gallons. Setup time is about 10 minutes. I also use the same 12v battery to light my tent with a 12v trouble light, instead of a lantern.

A couple weeks ago I watched a bear bust a coues doe out of her bed. Seemed like he was hunting her. He ran after her for no more than 50 yards and gave up.
