22 sucks! Go south. -
Great trip/success!! Great read...well done! I plan to go in the next couple years. I have 3 goat points now. Do you recommend buying deer points as well?
-
Wow! Great buck! Is there a story coming? You look to have another 30 or 40 years left in ya. Wait until you're 60, then start counting down.
-
Great job! Good write up. That is a great buck. I hope to make it to WY soon. I bought my 3rd point this year.

How much did that Yeti/goat package weigh?

Great job!! Nice bucks! Wyoming is on my bucket list in the near future. I have bought 3 points now.

Nice bull!! Those fronts are tremendous! -
I shot my bull this year at 35 yards, broadside, passthrough, just above/behind the knee, exited behind the shoulder. No blood after 150 yards. Found him dead 1/2 mile away, after 15 hours of searching. Entrance shot Exit

I just went through this. I lost a Midland radio on my elk hunt. After research, I decided I wanted the Midland 1050...the only model with whisper mode. Seemed like it might be handy for hunting. I think that's the only difference between the 1050/1000 and the T75. It seems no retail store carries them so I ordered through Amazon for $70. Got them in a few days. https://www.amazon.com/Midland-GXT1050VP4-Channel-Two-Way-Waterproof/dp/B001WM73P0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1539663628&sr=8-2&keywords=midland+gxt1050

Got the Green Mountain from Sportsmans. Love it! Got the Daniel Boone model on sale for $500. Haven't used propane in a long time. Great smoked meat, great for steakes, great for pizzas.

Great job! Nice bull! Well done video! It's quite an accomplishment getting an elk with a bow, let alone getting it on a quality video.

Check camofire. They have baselayers quite often. Black Ovis has their brand also. I bought Core 4 Element off camofire a few years ago but haven't seen it anymore.

^^ I hope so. I was there last weekend. One week can make a difference.

It's been quiet and HOT in 4B...with an occasional bugle. The forecast is for clouds, chance of rain, and cooler middle of next week, which should get it going. The fall equinox/estrus is the 22nd, but also a full moon. Hopefully there will be enough cloud cover to squelch the full moon affect. At any rate, we will have a blast in the elk woods.

They'll be back. Usually on Tuesdays (Trailcam Tuesday)

glassing equipment recommendations.
Viper replied to lamrith's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Sounds like you have a handle on what is required. I prefer 12x50's and carry them on my chest. I have a Zeiss 15 - 45 x 65 spotter that is packable and a Vortex 27 - 60 x 85 that does well, but stays near the truck. Buy the best glass you can afford. Ross Outdoors in Phoenix rents glass. Might be an option. -
I have a 4b bull tag. I won't be hunting until my brother gets here from Indiana on Sunday. First time missing opening day....it's killing me. Last weekend I was practicing my calling from the campfire and had two bulls bugling. It's gonna be a warm one.
