Thanks for the insight guys. What do you mean "glassing"? I usually just walk around in the mesquite flats with my open sight 30-30. Thanks DW

I just purchased a Weatherby Vanguard Sub MOA. I took it into get bore sighted with my scope and the Leupold bases did not line up at the same elevation. As a result they could not bore sight my scope (it ran our of vertical adjustment). The guy at Sportsman's Wherehouse said that he has seen that problem before with Wetherbys. Have any of you heard of this as a problem??????? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, DW

Getting ready to work up a reload for a 300 wsm. I want ONE bullet that will work for everything from Coues to elk. (Probabley want ever hunt elk with a rifle, so Coyote to Mule deer). At any rate, what bullet and what weight have you had the best luck with in 300 wsm?? Obviously I want the best penatrating bullet that flys the best. I shoot from 100 to 600 yards or more. Give me your input. Thanks, DW

Thanks KRP As luck would have it I ran into a fellow hunter/ shooter out shooting this morning. He seems to really know his stuff, and has agreed to help me work up a load for both my 300wsm and 300 win mag. It is truely funny the way things work out. Thanks again for the input. DW -
Looking for someone to reload 300 wsm & 300 win mag
lionhunter posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Ok, Here is my strange request: I have 100 or so spent cases of both 300 wsm, and 300 win mag brass that I need to reload/ work up a reload. So here's the deal; I do not reload or own a reloader. I am looking for someone in the Phoenix/ Peoria area who has the equipment that might consider helping me out! I am NOT looking for a free service, just someone who knows the ins and outs of reloading, and has the equipment to do it. I am more than willing to pay for the reloading. Let me know if any of you are interested. Thanks in advance, Darin Williams (Whitey) -
5oo lbs???? NOPE! I have hunted lion in AZ for 22 years, and I doubt we ever killed any lion over 220 pounds. Very few ever found their way to a scale, but the couple exceptionally big ones that did were less than 200 pounds. A friend of mine killed a lion that measured 9 ft. 1 inch from note to tip of tail, but he did not weigh it. I am new to this sight, but so far I read about a guy who has a 30-06 that only drops 30 inches at 1000 yards, and now a 500 pound Mt. lion. It is definately entertaining! DW

Thanks for the response. Yes, it would have to be the right person. I use to reload a ton in the mid 90's; before kids and wife. ( I lived with a good friend who had all the equipment) I reloaded 6mm, .223, 22-250, and 06. I was very meticulous about each step. Maybe your right, I should just buy the stuff myself. Good huntin -

I have a set of Aluminum wheels for a Polaris Ranger. They are the stock size (Fronts= 12X7 Backs=12x8) They are in great shape, and are made by Polaris. New they would be over $400 plust tax/ shipping and so on. I will take the first $250 for them. I would also consider trade/ partial trades for firearms, hunting equipment, archery equipment etc. Don't be shy about offers. I live in Peoria, and I will be in 36-c the day after Thanksgiving if someone in Tucson wanted them we could work something out. (602)620-9113 (cell phone is the best way to reach me, I don't always get a chance to check the computer) Darin Williams (Whitey) I could email pictures to anyone who is interested. Just leave me your email and I will send them to you.

I have the Dec tag, and was currious as to how it is looking??? Number of deer, antler growth as compared to other years etc. Any info would be appriciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the info guys! I did not really expect "hot spots" to hunt; just looking for a overall view into how things are looking down there this year, but thank you very much for the info. Azcathunter
