lionhunter replied to lionhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
sounds good... I have a 300 WSM, and a 300 Win that will be VERY hard to beat, but I am willing to give it a try. I am going to shoot on Sunday out to 500. I will let you know how it compares. Or should I say, if you see it for sale on Monday you know why............ Whitey -

I have a wild hair to try a .257 weatherby mag or 25-06. I would like to trade the following rifle: Remington Mod. 700 BDL in 6MM Rem. The rifle has a custom trigger set at just under 3 pound, breaks clean and crisp/ no creep. I had the action fiberglass bedded and the barrel floated. (All work was professionally done by Weapons Works) The rifle would come with Leupold one piece base, and rings. (NO SCOPE) I would let this rifle go with the following handloaded ammo: 45 rounds of 80 gr. Nos part, 50 rounds of 95 gr Hornady SST and one box of Federal Premium 100 gr. Nos Part. The ammo alone would cost you a couple hundred bucks. I also have 40-50 pieces of brass. Ok I would consider trades on a .257 Weatherby mag or 25-06 of simular value, and simular condition. This is a very light weight rifle, that has very little recoil; perfect for a kid, women, and a recoil sentitive shooter. Very flat shooting rig....... If no trades come around I would probably sell everything listed for $600 bucks Thanks, Whitey

SOLD Doctor Optic Nobilem 15x60 binos with the tripod adapter and plate. These binos have been used, but are in good condition; no scratches on the glass. Always kept in a padded case, and taken care of... These binos are a great less expensive option for someone who does not want to drop a couple grand on binos. I will take $600 for the binos with the adapter/ plate, and the Docter leather case. As always open to trades for??? Pm offers. Anyone having problems with Garmin Rhino gps/radios? I have the 530 and the 520 and both are acting up..... I keep getting a black screen on the map and one turns off every time the other radio trys to call it. Any ideas would be hepful... I am really trying to like these things, but so far they are a pain in the @$$.. They mess up about as much as they work. I still have 4 vhf kenwoods that work everytime. I am about ready to get rid of these Rhinos and go back to the radios, and a gps. In the morning I am going to contact Garmin and see what they say... Any info would be helpful. Whitey

Cabelas had some pretty good (mid level) sights on the clearence rack, and marked 1/2 price off that price. All said and done you would be into a brand new 5 pin sight for like $20 I don't think you could best that price... Good luck whitey

Terry, are you going to keep any of them? I bet you you could get them to trail! One of the best coon/ bear dogs I ever had was 1/2 short hair. Good luck. Whitey
