I purchased a 20 gauge for my oldest son for his 10th birthday, and now I need to do the same for my middle son. Sooooooo, if you have a youth sized 20 let me know. Thanks, Whitey pm what you have.....

I glassed the lion quite a ways from the King anvile, but I have seen them there as well. It is funny, 5 people have asked me to give them the exact area I saw the lion. I want them killed, but am not too jazzed about giving away my spot...... Probably not..... good luck hunting

Thanks Coach, but I am kind of looking for the single shot 20 gauge that I started with when I was their age. I subscribe to the "make the first shot count" theory, and besided I already purchased one for the oldest and want it to be fair. I told each of the boys that I will buy the first one and they can save their money and pitch in when they want to up-grade. At any rate, Still looking for a youth 20. Thanks. Whitey

Again thanks for all the input, but you guys are giving me a headache! I (like most others on this sight) am a hunter; not a mathematician. I missed what I consider an easy shot, one that I have made a hundred times, and am probably just looking for an excuse as to why I missed at 380 yards. At any rate, if I ever need to take a computer hunting with me to figure out my shot, I will probably stick to my bow. Thanks again, great debate.......... Whitey whoever said get the new range finder with the angle compensation hit it on the head...

Thanks to those who had some insight to my question... Way to technical for me. At any rate; I was shooting a .270 wsm with a 130 gr accu-bond at 3248-3255 fps. b/c is .435. I have the b/c cross hairs in my scope. 300 hits dead nuts 4oo hits maybe an inch high. The "hypothetical" situations was a I glassed a pretty good buck at 347 yards, he was moving away from me towards a very thick flat. If he walked another 30 yards he would be gone fore good. the shot was an extreme down hill shot. By the time I got set up to take the shot I figured he was closer to 400 yard, (a shot I practice a ton, but in a flat area), I settle the 400 cross hair, and shot high. Not much high, but a miss is a miss. O well, thanks again for the info. Whitey

Cody, I am going hunting on Friday. If I kill a buck that is way good I will swap antlers with one on the wall; if I brake down and kill a meat buck I will give you the cape.. At any rate pm me your cell number and I will give you a cal if I have a cape for you. Whitey

Very nice buck, I love the mass he caries through the main beam, and the green stains from rubbing. Congrats. Whitey

We were down in 36-c pig hunting this weekend and stopped to make a varmint stant. called two and my son (10 years old) shot his first coyote with his .243, 119 yard, perfect shot. The following morning we finally were able to make the correct stalk on the herd of pigs we had been glassing for 3 days, and he missed the shot at 125, but who is counting... He had a great hunt and is looking forward to his deer tag in the same unit. Whitey All and all we called 3 coyotes and 1 fox,. cut a ton of lion tracks and saw a deer or two along the way........ o and pigs are a hard hunt in 36-c!

I am looking for some info as to where to start with the 168 Burger VLD in both the 300 Ultra, and the 30-378. If you have a pet load for either let me know. Thanks in advance, Whitey -
Well done; I was down in 36-c this weekend and I know it was hot!! I love the look of the red-tick in photo two. Again congrats on a well earned one. Whitey

Like the topic says I have a Spot Hogg SDP sight with the micro adjustment for sale. It is set up with the top 4 pins in .19 pins (red and green) and the lower 3 pins in the .10 size pins. (all green) The reason for the smaller pins is so the pins do not cover your target at the longer distances. The sight with one size pin goes for $200 new. To add the different size pins would be an additional cost........... I will take the first $130 for the sight picked up here. No offers please. The SpotHogg is the BEST sight you can get!! I live in NW valley. Thanks, Whitey

I still have the ammo. I am located at 75th ave and Greenway rd. in Phx. Thanks, Whitey

I have two boxes (40 rounds) of New Winchester Ballistic tip/ Silver tip 180 Gr. in 300 Win mag. The ammo is 40 something bucks/ boxs anywhere you look. I will take $30 bucks/ box picked up here. Again, this is brand new ammo in the box. I have a ton of reloads for my 300 mag so I don't really need this ammo. Might consider trade for equal valued ammo in 7mm mag. Whitey

I have a Brand new Alaska guide Creations Bino system for sale. It will fit any 10 powers and I know 15 swarovskis will fit as well. They are brand new. I will take $45 picked up. I live in the NW Valley. Thanks, Whitey

Nice work Brian!!! 590 is a good poke. (300 wsm is one of my favorite rounds also.) Whitey

Mike, Great choice in cal. I hate to disagree with anyone who might know everything, but........ My experience with the 270 wsm is just short of amazing. Mine (a Savage) shoots cheap factory bullets great, and my pet reload (140 Nos accubond at 3250 fps with IMR 4350) is as consistantly accurate as any rifle I own. as far as reloading goes it did not seem to be any more or less finicky than the 300 wsm or 300 win that I reload. At any rate, enjoy your new rifle. Whitey
