Savage 7 mm with scope and muzzle break sold

I purchased the gun second hand and was told that it was only sighted in and hunted with twice? The gentleman told me maybe 50 rounds. so I will go with that. I can definatively say that I have shot it 10 times. It is a shooter and will keep cheap factory ammo inside two inches at 200, and it kicks about like a .243 with the break on it. Whitey

    WTB 7mm-08

I am looking for a light weight set up for a youth hunter. The rifle does not have to be a "youth" rifle, but that would work also. Let me know what you might b wanting to part with. 7-08 is what I am thinking but let me know what you have. Thanks. Whitey

For All You Lucky Tag Holders!

My best amateur guess is it's gone unless those files are showing up on your PC trash folder. Sounds like either the drive was (re)initialized or evereything inadvertently dumped on your crash. It stinks either way. Those bulls you posted are some pigs for sure! Oink Oink. I don't think I'm holding out for anything in that class--probably spike and up for me Best of luck to you and your clients this fall! Great video, gets me all pumped for my 2nd 7w tag in a row...... @ afteratag " get in line for Manny" he is the best caller I know! Whitey

    Average callin

Alright, my last post brought up another question...... What is your call-in ration? I took a guy from back east calling a couple years ago. In several outings he managed to miss 17 different shots on called in predators... everything from 20 yards to a couple hundred. At any rate, he asked me what was my call in ratio. After some deliberation, ( that means thinking/ problem solving etc. for you rednecks) I came up with 1:5. My best day was 11 dogs by noon, and my worst run of bad luck ever is now. So the question is posed.... What is your average ??? Thanks, Whitey
  15. Ok, I generally post pics and articles bragging on a hunt that turned out well........ However, I have been on a bit of a dry spell in terms of calling in critters.. The question is; what is the most stands YOU have made before having a predator come in? (I am not going to answer just yet, but let's just say it has been a ton in the last week.. I have used the same calls, mixed it up some, called areas that I have had success in the past, and some new country as well) ok what is the longest run of bad luck any of you hard core callers have gone through?? I blame the Fox Pro. Before the ecaller I did a ton better with my mouth calls. Now (yes I have a fox pro also) my ratio has gone down hill a bit...

What is your longest "dry spell"?????

Ok, I am ready to toss a number into the hat.... I am being conservative to say 30 stands without a single call in! I spent a day in 42 from flats to mt. and another day in 21 from low desert to transitions country........ I love the advice on how to get it done.... Cracks me up... Next question would have to be what is your average. I took a guy from back east calling a couple years ago and he asked me my average I think I will start that story with another post....... Whitey

What is your longest "dry spell"?????

ok, I will start with this.... I hosted a small calling contest last weekend and made 20 stands in one full day..... nothing came in at all! ( except for 5 doe mule deer) Now, I have been calling for 30 years with some good results........ I then gave it a rest and took my 11 year old son for a day and and 1/2 to a completely different spot for a day and a half and ............... nothing.... Did I lose my mojo or what?
