I have had great luck with 165 nosler accubond in the 300 wsm. I have two and load for manny others. I use imr 4350, but just loaded for a friend and used r-17 behind the 165 and 150 ab and got 1/4 inch groups from both. We went with the 165 due to higher bc. Speeds were easily 3300 fps with no pressure problems. Good luck. Whitey

Are bipods really worth the extra weight?
lionhunter replied to AZ_SAWBUCK's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have the mid sized Harris bipod. I would not even consider going hunting without it. I have taken over 90% of the animals i have harvested proned out off the same bipod. If i can't lay down and shoot i try to move to a location where i can. I also carry a set of shooting sticks for the ocation where the grass is to high. As far as the extra weight goes it is a non-issue. As a matter of fact, on manny hunts i carry the longer bi-pod in my pack just incase i need to shoot from a sitting possition. I have also tryed the one that pivots and did not like it as well because it was a little less solid. Just my .02 Whitey -

I have had much better luck in the past couple of years with hand calls over the over played e calls. I still use both, but I start every stand with a hand call for 5-7 min. After that fox pro for another 10 or so. Much more rewarding to me with a hand call. Good for you and keep at it

I can honestly say that there are many teachers out there that have no business carrying a firearm. I would feel less safe at work knowing that certain idiots were walking around schools locked and loaded! That being said, proper training for a few that could handle the situation could save lives! Nice video Jack. Way too many lion hunting videos start with a track and jump right to the tree.. I liked all the video of the livestock and hounds. Well done! What part of Utah was that? Whitey
