Great write up, and congrats to your wife... Two questions: What's up with the pajamas? And Why didn't you take the rib meat? There is a lot of good grind on those ribs.

Man this rings true!!! Two years ago my son had a turkey tag, and some pretty poor grades. I set my limits, and as most kids he pushed them. He scrambled to get his grades up and at the last minute he was close...... Waiting for a teacher to grade his paper, I caved in and said he could go with the thought that he had done his part... I was wrong; the paper did not bring the grade up.. He won! Last year he had a 19a rifle tag. Once again I set expectations including no letting the grade slip and scrammbling at the last minute to bring it up. This time he did not go hunting! It killed him!!!! As we had glassed over a hundred deer in one day while scouting. I made hime call " hunt of a lifetime" and donate his tag. Lesson learned. This year his grandpa drew a cow elk tag. Since day one of scool I have reminded him that "B" or better or you don't go. I also said if grades drop bellow a B deals are off; no scambling to bring it up!! He has finaaly learned his lesson..... He gets to go kill an elk. It killed me and him to mis the hunt last year, but I truely think it taught him a very valuable lesson.... Good luck on this one....

I just typed up an entire page on this topic and my new computer flashed, and it all went away.. sooooo, I am going to make this short I worked up a load for my buddy's 300 wsm using win brass. we were getting average fps of 3300 ish and 1/4 in groups at 200 with more than one load. we were please.... He could not find any win brass so against my advice he bought fed brass. He said " how much difference could the brass make" well, we shot the same reload recipe using the fed brass and were getting 3500 fps and major pressure issues (flat primers, sticky bolt, etc) still getting good groups, but way too fast. we reverse engineered the cartriges when we got home thinking we had used too much powder.. nope same amount of powder. what we did learn was the fed brass weighed 7 gr more than the win brass. Have any of you experienced such a difference in speed when the only difference was the brass? Please feel free to chime in.. I have always found a good load and stuck with the exact same components, so I have not dealt with this before.... Thanks, Whitey

Here it is guys, the best free dog anyone could ever ask for........ Sadie is 5 years old, is house broken, great with kids, never needs a leash or to be tied up in camp. She will retrieve anything you throw, but has not been hunted. I live in Peoria if you want to come check her out. Pm me with any questions. Thanks, Whitey

My mother inlaw has agreed to take sadie for us... That way the kids get to see her... Thanks for all the questions. Whitey

She is perfectly healthy! I have decided to give her up because she has snapped at the wife's lil dog and since then she has been an outside dog full time.
-
Yes she does shed some, but not what I would call excessive. I have never had her around a male dog, but don't see a problem with that as she is not an aggresive dog.. Having said that she has snapped at my wifes yorkie a couple times when they both went after the same tennis ball. I think she would do best in a single dog family.

Not sure about chickens????? She listens better than most kids. I know if I told her not to mess with the chickens she would leave them alone, but I really don't know????

I was out bear hunting last weekend, and watched a large tom bobcat stalk a coues deer doe. At first she ran then she turned around stomped his @$$ and then he ran up a tree! Sorry no video, but it was pretty cool to watch at 225 yards. I was going to shoot him but we had a bear we were working on. Whitey

The grandparent does not have to be present.. I know this because my wife's dad drew an elk tag and later on was asked to go on a church mission in Austria. This mission is more his calling ( no pun intended), I contacted G&F and they said he could sign the tag over to one of my sons as long as I was present on the hunt. Hope this clarifies the rule for all... Whitey
