I guess the "horn poachers" that have been in there for 4-5 weeks working it over missed the closure notice...what a joke! we have been hiking in and waithing for the "closure" to lift.bababahahahahaha went in fri when it "legally" opened only to find truck and quad tracks every where and boy were the horns few and far in between gee I can't imagine why. Very good they are still closed.I have been walking into some areas and wow are they muddy. I have been taking pictures of all the damage the guys on quads looking for sheds are doing!! the east side of unit 9 is CLOSED!!!! I have cut so many quad tracks its not even funny.THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED HARRASSMENT OF WILDLIFE as I read it in the regs.If I see anyone in there I love to video people breaking the law.It makes me so mad I could scream.I have called the forest service and have told them exactly where people are coming in from they said they are out writing tickets.I walked in 12 miles last week and guess what..."chimp" tracks everywhere!!I live in the north country and its way,way to muddy for anyone to be on the roads for a few more weeks AZMEAT

I am sad to say I lost My first german shorthair that started my addiction to gun dogs and quail hunting on fri.I laid her in one of our favorite hunting spots where she struck her last point in DEC.Sure going to miss her "jackknife" brickwall points.And "what do you mean you missed" looks. Abby hitting her last point

Its hard to understand what GOD is doing in times like these but we need to remember he is in full controll and ALL things work for good to those who love him.I lost my dad and brother in the same year so I know the thoughts that go through ones mind in times like this.Thing that keeps me on track is GOD makes no mistakes. Amanda, thanks!! yes we had a good run.she was soooo good on gambles made them look silly most times instead of the other way around.Thought it fitting to lay her there.her last point was a good freind of mines first time to see her hunt and his first time hunting gambles with one of my mutts.Pretty special all the way around. thanks for all the kind words Abby and I had more quail-less "nature hikes" than anything.But we killed a fair share of birds over her.I have 3 adult GSP's that are top notch hunters but its going to be weird not being able to call on the old quail veteran AZMEAT

thanks for the prayers!! please keep them on your lists they need it soo bad.I was fortunate enough to be able to take the 14 yo to rage fest in PHX that had some of the top christain rock bands out there today.WOW was GOD at work! tommy, if a dog can hadle the "runner quail" they will embarrass mearns too funny I always let my dogs smell the spent shells...they love it they know what its all about.very smart pups for sure.Love the fact you can run her with no e-collar she got that from her daddy.I just collar him so "he looks the part" hahahahahaha.if you know anybody looking these pups are ready to get new homes and get on with their trainig. thanks Jim
