24a. That's what I meant. There aren't even any elk in 24B are there?
-
Did this bull come out of 24 B?
-
Those beams cost him 10-15" but the thirds make up for that. Hard to tell with only being able to see his head but I'd say 345 minimum and pushing 355?

NM draw has already passed. In the future it's a good backup. The units just across the az border are typically regarded as the best but are hard to draw. The area along the Colorado border has some pretty good draw odds if you study them and has (in my opinion) a much better chance at a 6pt bull then Colorado. Don't go into those northern units expecting a 350 bull or bust or you'll go bust for sure, but for a chance to get out and chase rutting Bulls it's a way better option then Colorado. Some of the archery tags in there have 20-60% draw odds so they're defninitely obtainable tags. Another option is a landowner tsg. Prices have probably gone up but last I checked you could get a landowner archery tsg in some of those northern units for $1000-1500. As far as Colorado goes listen to 1uofacat as he hit the nail on the head.

If I lived in AZ and wanted to go elk hunting I'd look hard at doing one of the raghorn hunts on the reservation. I think tag pricewise you'll be in about the same amount of cash and won't have to drive so far. You're gonna be hunting the same size elk as you will in Colorado except you'll atleast get to see big Bulls on the Rez. Not sure if they sell those or if they are a draw but it's worth looking into. If you go on any of the websites for the pack trip guys in Colorado you'll quickly see that raghorns are pretty much the norm. We hunted there for 5-6 years and I saw one 6 pt in that amount of time, a 250 bull. We killed a few raghorns in those years and had a lot of fun but we worked really hard for the ones we got. It was a big deal back at camp if you heard a bugle!!

Binos sold to bobby. -
Looking to clear out the safe a little. First up is a pair of 2010ish 15x56 neu with box and all paperwork. The only thing wrong with them is one of the objective lens caps tether is broke. These took a fall in 2014 and were sent into swaro and all new lenses were placed and a clean bill of health given. Only reason I'm selling is I have a pair of HD's now. $1275 shipped. I'm in ND so obviously all of this will need to be shipped so shipping is included in all prices. At these prices PayPal gift is the only payment option I can offer.

Swaro 15x56 SLC NEU UPDATED PRICE $1275 Shipped

TTT. Please don't make me have to take an additional picture of the twist out eyecups. I took them out so I could get a good picture of the ocular glass in the light to show there are no blemishes on them. These have the twist out Swarovski eye cups on them I just failed to get a pic of them as I assumed everyone knew how they are removed and put back on quickly. Absolutely fixed on the price at $1275 shipped. You will not find a better deal on a pair of 15's in next to new condition. -

2014 Teryx 800 LE 4 Seater with lots of extras
yotebuster replied to Adicted's topic in Classified Ads
Might sound like a dumb question but do these have any sort of dump bed on them? I just got a Honda pioneer 4 seater that has a dump bed hat folds into seats. I'm sorta in the market for another one but use it on the farm so I need a dump bed of some kind now and again. -
Solar will help but it won't keep up with the drain on it while you're fishing all day. I would look into getting a solar charger and atleast one if not two extra batteries to charge while fishing. Be aware that a solar charger won't bring a battery back from completely dead so you will have to rotate them before they are dead. Another option would be a small inverter generator to leave at camp to charge another battery while you're out fishin. This would probably be a little more expensive but would definitely work and also have other applications during hunting trips etc.

Finally drew a 3a/3c early archery bull tag
yotebuster replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in Elk Hunting
I don't know much about each unit other then reputation and a little shed hunting, but aren't there 10x the tags in 3a/c as 23n? Just curious. Mostly dreaming as I can't ever get myself to hold off on other units long enough to get any of these! -
Finally drew a 3a/3c early archery bull tag
yotebuster replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in Elk Hunting
With 18 points I think he is probably guaranteed it is archery. I don't think 18 is max points for rifle but definitely is for archery so he would not have made it to the random draw for the rifle hunt. There could have been a little point creep though. 18 would've gotten a 23n archery tag wouldn't it? Hope he got 3a/c rifle but I think these guys are right that he prob didn't have a chance at it. -
Cool! Are you thinkin coues or Muley? Hard to tell skull size with no reference.
