So does that mean you can shoot within 1/4 mile with a bow as long as you are out of city limits?
-
If the cows are there, there will be some good Bulls in there. How does that work with bowhunting near buildings? Is the 440 yard rule still in effect with a bow?

Awesome! Keep us posted! Don't overthink it, aim for those massive lungs!!!! -
What are you doing to your cameras???
-
Wow! I was thinking of putting my non HD up for sale and was hoping it was worth $1700. This is a great deal!!!

I have OnX on my phone. Send me a PM and I can see if it's on there.

I was just getting ready to post a pic of that buck! I would bet this Buck has atleast 8" prongs of not longer. Don't forget that the prong measurement goes all the way around the back of the horn to a line running up the center so big mass adds to pring length big time. I know it's hard to fathom that a tall Buck like the mounted one posted on here by kingjeff that scored 83 doesn't score as well and I like most guys would probably shoot the tall one, but this heavy Buck is definitely way bigger then that.
-
4" cutters wouldn't even stick off the base. This Buck is being WAAAAYYYY under judged in my opinion.
-
Is this unit wide?
-
Mass also makes them look short. I bet this Buck is 14.5" all day. I'm gonna say 84-86 on this one. I'd shoot it with any tag out there.

Last night I pulled up the draw results in Idaho expecting another rejection letter and was blown away to find out I drew a bull moose tag! I'm pumped to say the least!!! I'll keep you guys updated on how it all goes, this will be my first moose hunt, can't wait!! I have from late aug to mid nov for the hunt, so I may make a few trips out there but it's a haul from ND. Anybody ever hunt them in Idaho? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! The hunt is near Idaho falls. Sound like a pretty good unit!

Yeah judging by the country they're in I think you're pretty safe! That Buck looks good until that last quarter and top curve. I'd be wanting something bigger on a gun hunt personally.
-
Is this for real? ^
-
Yeah a bull tag will go for $5k-15k depending on the unit. Cow tags are still fairly cheap in there if you can find them, especially ranch only tags.
-
Shoulda said the tag needed to be in 15 or the 16's. Likely won't find a cow tag in there for anywhere near as cheap as you can buy beef. Maybe a 16e cow tag but you'll have to hike your butt off to get your elk out unless you can get private land access and in that case it will cost you way more then a half of beef.
-
How did I miss this?!? The two that I want are sold!
-
Dunno why they are rotated? Sorry.

Got my moose head done early! Picked it up this weekend and hung it in the shop temporarily until I can get it hung in the house. Super excited about how it turned out. Now to add a Canadian moose and an Alaska/Yukon moose!
-
A lot of us probably have 20-30 or more buffalo points. Perhaps 15 or more turkey points if waiting for a goulds tag. As far as your generalization about getting a tag every two years, I'm not buying it. Maybe on elk, definitely on deer, but there is no AZ antelope tag you can get every two years. You might beat the odds a time or two but not consistently.

+1. Might be interested depending on answers to these questions.
-
Where are you located?
-
196 scattered out across 6 states! You'd think I'd get a tag every now and then wouldn't you?
-
Wanna sell it?
-
You should be able to find a landowner cow tag for $300-500. Check Albuquerque Craigslist. You will also have to buy the license from the state but I'm not sure of the cost of a cow tag?
