custom 28 nosler for sale PRICE DROPE RIFLE ONLY 3K
yotebuster replied to couesman77's topic in Classified Ads
Whats it weigh? What would you have to get for it without the scope? Is it a repeater? Thanks! -
19 points for me now! Im stuck in no mans land between some incredible 4th season tags that take 20+ and creep up a point a year and some great 3rd season hunts that take 12-15 points. Same for elk. I wish I had 19 elk and 19 deer points in AZ instead of CO!!!

Depends on the state. Some you do some you dont. Wyoming you dont have to. Utah you can buy it every other year. Nevada you need it every year. Thanks, I was refering to zekes post about CO and WY. I just assumed you did. Gonna half to start looking into WY. So are the easy to draw lope tags in sage country? How's the meat on those things? I've heard many different opinions, but I've heard in areas with sage they're nasty? I'm wondering because the 2 doe lope tags. I'd want to get the meat but not if it's gross. The only antelope meat that is nasty is meat that wasnt handled properly. Ive killed antelope in ND, MT, WY, AZ and NM and all of them were fantastic. Im anal about how I handle and animal after its killed though. I would say the best are the ones I shoot 20 min from my house in MT and I can get them home and hung from the loader to skin them properly and cut them bone in like a beef. The worst was probably a NM buck that was rutting like a wild man and I had to do the gutless method on and take out in a day pack, but Ive never had a bad one. If youre worried about that focus on the eastern part of the state. All the agricultural land will be private but the units with lots of private are easiest to draw. Find a rancher with a few center pivots of alfalfa that will let you on for a trespass fee and stack em up.

Is that the power line where the guy staged the photo with the 200 Muley he allegedly poached?

Tons of them. I dont know much about them so I cant give you specific units as I banked 9 points and burned them on a red desert tag last year, but there are plenty that can be drawn with 0 and 1 point. Especially in the special draw which is a little higher tag fee.

I apply in ND, SD, MT, CO, OR, AZ, NM, UT, NV, ID and AK. Some Im in every year for everything, others I use as my go tos when I dont have a hunt lined up elsewhere. I think its smart to spread the cards on the table. I apply for roughly 50 different hunts a year, but many are 1:1000 plus odds but some are 1:2 odds. I figure if they average to 1:100 and I apply for 50 of them I should get a once in a lifetime tag every other year or so and thats been pretty true. It can be expensive, but I think the non refundable part comes out to about $2000 a year. I know a lot of people that spend far more then that on golf each year or new guns. My passion is hunting and the more out of state tags Ive drawn the more addicted I become to going into a new area and figuring it out.

What spine carbons do you suggest? I'm having a heck of time finding aluminum anymore. https://www.cabelas.com/product/EASTON-LEGACY-FEATHER-ARROWS-PACK/2225395.uts?productVariantId=4570776&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=04428511&rid=20&ds_rl=1252079&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIoMTy4eCt2wIVWJ7ACh0i1gubEAQYAiABEgK2pPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Please dont shoot carbons out of a recurve at game. Buy these. You wont get velocity with a recurve so you need to rely on weight.

Memorial Day Eurasian Dove Hunt
yotebuster replied to Goldfinger78's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Im so jealous of this!!! In ND they are listed as invasive but they count toward a daily limit and theres a season. Not sure if thats even legal if the game and fish to do. Ive considered flying down just to get out of the cold some winter and shoot eurasians! -
They do the 20% bonus pass first before the random draw. So theyll look through everyone with the highest point tiers for each hunt. You wont make the cut for late bab with 11 points but you most likely will for 27 late so youll get a tag on second choice in the first round bonus pass and your name wont be in the hat on the random draw pass that comes up later.
-
Hey Bob, I dont know much about that 27 late Hunt as Ive only turkey and shed hunted in there, but if you put that for second choice you will almost for sure draw it in the bonus pass and not even have a chance at a late Kaibab tag so make sure thats what you wanna do. Thats some steep nasty stuff in places, couple that with this nasty dry year and I think youre gonna be hard pressed to dig a 180 buck outa there. If I were you Id hold off one more year and take a few days to run up there and hunt the archery hunt in early January this year and make sure its the hunt you want before cashing in. Thats just my 2 cents, I know guys shoot good bucks in there but most of them are some hardcore hiking SOBs that do it!!
-
Sweet deal on the B80!! Thats 10x the gun that a lot of these crappy new Turkish guns are selling for more money!
-
Youre sitting in a great spot. There are tons of good elk hunts you can go on with 15 points. If you look at tag numbers 1 and 3c have done nothing but go up, and some other units in the area have been on a steady decline in tag numbers. It doesnt take long for them to flip flop which one is better. Look into any of the 4 or 5 units and youd have a guaranteed rut archery tag or if you can glass, hike, and shoot decently at Long range then look into 23 late rifle. They kill some REALLY BIG bulls in that hunt but you gotta work a little more for them.

Deer Draw Available Online!
yotebuster replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
What are my odds of drawing 13b with one bonus point......... 😜 -
I would do 12b west muzzleloader. That being said Ive never hunted it. I see some giants come out of there and the draw odds are way better then any of the other November hunts. Im gonna guess you are atleast 18-20 years away from being in max point pool for a strip tag and 10+ for a late Kaibab tag. People always look at how many points it takes this year and how many they have but dont analyze point creep trends to realize that it goes up a point or so every year as well.

My wife does osso bucco a lot. I get my butt chewed if I dont pack out the bone in front shanks when I kill and elk or moose. I used to grind it all up and now its one of my favorite cuts.
-
Wait?!? I thought 4b was the only unit worth drawing up that way?!?

Follow up on post about Leica customer service from May 1
yotebuster replied to Capt. Don Martin's topic in Optics and tripods
This is awesome. Doug is a first class guy and not only do they have the best prices out there they have the best customer service as well!! -
Ive got a 1600b as well as a sig. The optics are better on the Leica but the speed and scan mode on the sig are far better. My sig is the kilo 2400abs so its not a very good comparison. I think Leica is losing the race at MSRP prices, however at this price the Leica is probably a lot more rangfined there then youll get in a comparable $400 sig.

Booner free zone, sorry man be right back, killing myself. No worries, definitely some popers in there.

The all time B&C is 82. I think 80 gets annual recognition. Kind of like 110 is all time B&c coues deer but you can get it listed if theyre 100.
-
Boone and Crockett minimum is 82

Lousy customer servicwe from Leica USA
yotebuster replied to Capt. Don Martin's topic in Optics and tripods
No reasonable way to mount a tripod stud and no reasonable customer service are the two reasons Ive stayed away from them.
