Got them in the mail today. Unfortunately no tripod stud yet as outdoorsman won’t ship them till 8/1 so all I could do is hand hold them. They handle about like a 12 NL. I feel like the weight makes them a little more stable to hand hold then the 12’s and a more shaky due to the power. WAY better to hand hold then 15’s. They fit in my stone glacier medium bino harness. A little tight but fit snug. 15’s aren’t even close to fitting in there. I’ll put some pics up. They’re right between 15’s and 12’s on weight. I think they could replace my 15’s, but I won’t be sellling my 12’s for sure as these definitely aren’t a replacement for 12’s. If you can only afford one or the other, buy 12’s. They’re nearly identical dimensions to my EL range TA’s except for better in the bino harness since they’re sleeker and don’t have the big fat bass belly on them like the ranges do. Sorry, can’t speak much to optics on them as I didn’t have them on a tripod.

I thought of that but didn’t wanna get sticky icky on em!! I’ll rig something up when I get back from the holiday weekend.

Everybody has max points for something in the deer draw, just depends on how picky you are.

No. It means that only 4200 of the of the tags are not eligible to resident hunters. Every resident has the ability to wait until they’re in the max point pool so they are “eligible”. If you guys wanna do something to better your draw odds, eliminate point guard, point averaging and gifted tags to kids. That would free up WAY more then 4200 tags with the stroke of a pen.

Should still draw if at truly max points.

Just like anything, I think it has more to do with how much money you’ve got then how much love you’ve got. When I went to NZ years ago there were guys there dropping $150-250k in a week to shoot a bunch of animals in a pen. Not that it was hunting, but they didnt seem at all interested in what they were doing, moreso just there to see how much money they could piss away I think.

I just ordered a pair from outdoorsman’s. I think they’re $100 more than the 12x42’s only so I jumped on it. I’ve got a set of fresh back from the factory 15x56 HD’s I’d probably sell 😂

Idaho is gonna be 1:150+ odds as well. Canada you’re gonna be into it for $70-100k before it’s all said and done to shoot a ram that you are gonna pray is legal while you’re hiking up to it. I’d be a low tier gov tag long before I’d waste that kinda cash in Canada.
